Scotland keeps pushing Billy away and pulling him back in equal measure.

You cannot help but love the man, he's been part of our collective lives for so long, an honesty and integrity from a guy who knows exactly who he is and where he came from ..... We will miss him when he's gone.
We sure will.
Meet him today on my flight such a lovely man and a legend
That is amazing he is a true legand
This is Billy all summed up in just over a minuite.... Smart, witty, honest and heartfelt- then going just a bit silly and cheeky. :)
Such a good-hearted, caring man. He has given so much of himself to everyone over the years, we all feel we know him as a friend.
He is one of the most alive, positive people I've ever seen anywhere.
His parkinsons isn't keeping him down.
He is a role model to all of us.
Thank Sir William for everything.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😄😁😃😀🙂☺️😎💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫
God bless you, Billy. God bless you, Glasgow. 🏴
Billy Connolly is the greatest man in Glaschu, Alba. 🏴
The Man that never has forgotten his roots ♥️🏴 god bless yeah 2019 @ many years 2 follow
Im a huge fan of Billy im from Ireland and he makes me laugh every time i watch him on tv he is a legend and a genius he is a credit to Glasgow and Scotland.😊
This is poetry.. Including that comment made about the water hitting the scrotum
A man who lived to comb white hair and still exhibits the delight of a 10 year old boy saying naughty words like scrotum unexpectedly. A man after my own heart. Cheers!
What's naughty? It's the most proper anatomical term there is for said body part...
Ha Billy so poetic, would love to meet ya sometime
Thank you Billy. As someone who left 41 years ago I still love going back but thanks to Covid-19 I haven't been back for two years.
great man saw him in my wee village off Killin many yrs ago at the folk festival x
I love his honesty which is the pathway to his heart.
Salt of the earth. This IS what all man kind should be like.
There are more Scots around the world than there are in Scotland itself. Our small nation has contributed greatly to the world!
Always see at least one saltire in a crowd
Love him ❤️
A Legend
He still says Turquoise the way i WANT to say it! Proud of the Big Yin and Proud to be Scottish! Or a Glaswegian who just happens to be Scottish as it were, LOL
Yes glasgow has nothing to do with scotland or its history. It just landed from a ufo in 1922.
Calm it
@@adamglasgow9268 😲😂🤐🍻
@@adamglasgow9268 You're not from Glasgow Adam. If you were, you'd understand that being from Glasgow isn't really the same a being Scottish. I'm Glaswegian to the core. But I' Scottish or British in equal measure. Being Glaswegian matters far more. That Glasgow is in Scotland is something I appreciate. But if it were in Poland, Latvia, Kabul or Rio I would not care. It's a unique city and one that doesn't owe it's character to Scotland. Glasgow established Scotland. Not the other way around. You'll no doubt disagree. Butbeing Glaswegian is special. Can't be explained. Only London, New York, Paris and possibly Rome come close.
@@robinmcewen3286👍
I almost agree and would put Glasgow on the same map with New York, London,etc.. but I don't agree that it would be the same anywhere else..
If it was south of the border, it would be compared to Manchester and Birmingham (who both don't like to be compared in the first place..) 🤔
And there is one special advantage:
Every time you leave Glasgow, you are in the middle of Scotland 😉 🏴
“ScRrrrO-tum,”. Is the word that bent my Ear 🙉 and made me 😆at the image of doing a high jump @ your initial encounter with the Baltic waves. 😮🌊 (turquoise or any shade of blue!) Like My Dear Ike Da, He has a way with words, no doubt.
Still got it.
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🥰 St Billy ❤️
Reading his book is like having him in the room for a chat.

I happen to like Billy Connolly's sense of humour. I accept others may not.
What I think is undeniable, is his sheer enthusiasm for life.
Keep us laughing Sir Billy and look after yourself ❤️👍🌏❤️😉🎭
Every Scotsman/woman is not dissimilar to Robert Burns - In love with the country of Scotland..
Burns loved Scotland - but he loved the people of the rest of the world just as much. ❤️🏴
@@StewartNicolasBILLYCONNOLLY Aye, that's right his poem's are in majority about humanity.
What a legend in his own mind 🤣 when I am outside my own homeland (Scotland) I often get approach by all nationalities who inform me that I sound like "the Big Yin" and am I a family member.....? Anyway much love to this man!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
A wonderful member of the human race.
Can you give us the trailer for Still Game season 9?

Sgoinneal ❤
Anyone know what this song is in the background?
I've been balls deep in cold water once before, but I didn't go for the high jump record.
The North Sea isn't cold, it's COLD.
@@irbennett by COLD, you mean frigid.
My favourite mammal
0:11 is that a truck full of irn bru?
No we don't just drink that don't assume every liquid is iron bru
It was an iron bru lorry beside the tram.
Turkwas.
yes Billy you love it so much you live in aussie most of the time......
Geeis peace
The weather takes its tool at his age. Give him a break
Did you not hear the bit where he says that his *"love of Glasgow has always been matched with an urge to leave."* ?
Which is understandable when you consider his childhood, which involved abandonment, abuse & molestation.
See the trick is to listen before spouting off like a jackass.
