  • Come, let us reason together friends! Let's take a minute to consider Jesus and the paralytic at the pool of Bethesda. The man desired healing, but had been looking for it in the wrong place. He was tired of being sick, but placed his trust on the wrong people. We do well to study Jesus' response! He skipped through all of the steps, there was no reliance on the pool or people. Jesus told the man to pick up his mat and walk. Notice, he wasn't' just to get up, but to pick up his mat as well. In other words, the man who needed others to pick him up along with his things was now capable of getting up and picking up his own things. God is telling us today, "You're capable of taking care of yourselves and your things!" Just go on, and do it! Just do it! It's like Jesus himself beat Nike to the expression, Just do it! May God help us all, to fulfill His plans for our lives. A special welcome and thanks to Brother Gatluak Nyoak for helping out with today's lesson while Pr. Chieng wasn't feeling well.

“And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name” (John 20:30, 31, NKJV).
