You guys should come to Deep South duals next summer. We had teams from 17 states. A couple of world team guys and several nationally ranked dudes. Birmingham Alabama. We run teams from youth through high school. Bring all your guys
Jason Layton we had a blast. It’s held every year and it’s growing a bit. Even with the covid situation we had a great turnout. I can get you the tournament director’s info if you need me to. Otherwise I believe he has it posted on Trackwrestling in plenty of time to get involved.
It's a joke, everyone gets called Scrub (If they go to Dynamic), I don't know if you go there personally, I do though. It's something everyone gets called, it's just a inside joke for everyone that goes
If your coach feels you are being a scrub, that is precisely what you are being. It is not the words that need to change from the coach, it is your attitude.
Conzo keep doing you if your dad says something bout pinning to early here’s something to tell him 1. You save energy for the later matches which will be much tougher. 2. You practice in practice and you work hard in practice so the matches are a walk in the park. All the work is done in practice so you can dominate in the matches 3. You never know what can happen. Someone could get injured and so on
I looked for this comment. As a dad I don't get this at all. I agree with you 100%. Work hard in practice so the matches are easy. Someone needs to let the dad know its not about him.
If it is someone who is easy, work 3 different take downs, maybe a turn for near fall. Then pin at your will. Really want to prove domince the tech pin a kid in the first period. Easy kids are your advance practice. You know within the first 10 seconds if it a easy kid.
@@michaelragains4938 I'm saying, it doesn't matter if they lose right now, they're kids, so why not take advantage of a chance to work move against a truly live opponent if you know you're gonna win. You will actually get better. High School and College is a different story. That Dad was trippin though.
8:30 was the most beautiful fireman's carry I have ever seen in youth wrestling. Very good job kid, keep it up. He seems very wise and seems very into knowledge based part of the game (gonna get good fast)
Just as a cautionary tale to certain parents out there, Combat sports is all about tough love, but there’s more motivating things to say to your kid than “You couldn’t hit a fireman’s to save your life!” There’s at least a better way to say it. Sure it might drive him to pull one off, but then he’ll only be trying to achieve things to spite his dads negative voice inside his head, which tends to lead a lot of kids to crash and burn as adults Maybe “You can’t hit a fireman’s carry, yet, but if you keep practicing your hardest, you learn. I believe in you so go prove me right! Just giving this warning because I’ve seen a lot of intense parents with some misguided coaching techniques. And I’ve seen how those techniques can play out very poorly
i was disgusted by the whole thing too. theyre obviously not emotionally mature enough and to add the demanding parents. and worst of all, they're cutting weight. I wonder how many of these kids end up stunting their growth
@@mtg1470 yep definitely. from someone who started wrestling at 5. luckily i had a great dad who never yelled at me for losing and only taught me things. i’m now 13 and one of the best wrestlers in california. love what i’m doing because i had a great dad and it’s why i’m not burnt out. but the other dads at tournaments i see are mean to there kids. it’s sad
To go 3 years in high school and make d1 college is extremely rare. The thing we forget is 90 percent of d1 wrestlers wrestled since middle school or before (most of em since grade school). That is how guys like spencer lee, David Taylor, Burroughs, Dake, Sanderson, all came up.
The dad that calls his son Marsha is a jerk. He probably doesn't realize that his son likely is upset because his dad is going to be disappointed. Perhaps he will see himself differently when he sees himself. Probably not. I'm not one for coddling but to call his son names is disappointing.
@@larrabeejohn6130 I don't think he is a terrible disgusting person but he is definitely misguided. Hopefully he sees himself and his roll differently after seeing himself. I'm guessing but I am sure he loves his son.
@@kidonaboat been watching a few more episodes today. You don't see him much in the vids anymore. Now we don't have to witness it but I certainly feel bad for his kid. I've seen this behavior for years with my boys going to youth tournaments. Once they hit HS most those kids are gone or irrelevant.
You lost me at the parent cursing at his son. It’s all about winning with you people. Lame. You’re at a tournament in July of 2020, the height of COVID. The competition was probably not up to par. These kids are babies, crying after loses and acting out. Again, lame.
Tilts, legs, crab ride, etc. The moves that the older guys on our team use to have success, as opposed to the stuff that will work before the competition gets better.
the kid that Tyler wrestled that was from the Iowa hammers i beat about a week and half ago and I beat him 12 to 5 and my friend Elijah was in his corner
I know the team the kid lost to at 9 minutes about black fox is in my area they are a Colorado team. I am going to wrestle year round for them 😈 next year

This vid makes me appreciate my dad even more than I already did

That’s my line
Team Dynamic‼️‼️
At that age any kid who steps on the mat shouldn’t be called a scrub.
I start calling them scrub at the beginning of their careers, and continue calling them scrub after they are better than me :)
