HI friend. I used to mount it on the front of the windscreen (my K1300R has a windscreen that is bigger than the normal one. It is an accessory from BMW), But ultimately I use it on the front of the helmet, found easier to set the position and it is also easier to control if its is recording by looking at the mirror for the front led).
