I grew up and lived in Canada, I live in Portugal now. The last 9 years I was voting for change in Canada, nothing ever changed. Now I am doing slow living in Portugal, paying minimal taxes, with no mortgage, no car payment. I have solar panels.. the electric company pays me. It feels like I am living very much outside of the "system" now, I live life on my own terms, and I do not let whatever government dictate my life.

Until they come to confiscate u land, property, and ban private solar energy, under communism private ownership of property is not allowed, u will be forced into a 15 minute city (gulag) and own nothing and eat bugs! Keep u head in the sand at u own peril!
A government provides the conditions necessary to live life like that.
@Camcolito the government did not tell me to drop out of highschool at 16, and go to work fulltime, so that I could buy my first house at 21, and then become mortgage free 10 years later. On top of that I jumped ship 2 years ago, and I cashed out on everything, and I moved all of my money to a completely different country. The government wants debt slaves, not slow-living yuppies. I am the exact opposite of what the governments want.

I very much appreciate this perspective. I'm in the USA and wish we had more people like you here. You remind me of my step dad. He was a very quite and thoughtful man but had a lot to say when it was important and you could talk to him about anything. He had his strong opinions but they were often nuanced and he was always open to having his perspective challenged and expressed similar frustrations as you are here. I miss him so much and truly love and appreciate your channel!

@@connydm729 Yeah as a guy I never really understood how lucky I was just to be able to walk around at all hours of the night, just took it for granted. Kind of realize it's very different for women now.

Your mistaken, This is reality, we dont have awnsers to basic questions. We dont even know why or how we exist so how can we expect to solve our problems when we dont even know who we as a race are. But with time as we and the world evolves we may develop the intelligence to find the awnsers we all want. Whats important now is just surviving, so we can have the chance to solve problems later in the future. Stop worrying about the inevitable.
I have solutions. Too bad if I wrote an essay, RUclips would delete it.

I agree with you not emphasizing politics. I appreciate the idea that men being centered and more healthy and trying to be what used to be called a man's man is more worth while.
People are angry because there has been a loss of accurate representation in societies where expectations of common values, mutually held to be purposeful, are no longer the practice. There is a loss of identity and respect for the heritage of sacrifice for freedom that generations before us have made. This waste is a cause of anger, and rightly so.
I’m aware that I now have a constant underlying rage resulting from all the post 2020 shenanigans. I feel I’ve lost the easygoing, trusting, happy go lucky me that existed back then, and this makes me sad. I’m generally living a wonderful happy life in my terms (so it could be worse) but the joy and happiness I feel I should have is missing. Trying to stay away from negative stuff and especially anything I can’t control and hoping it’ll get easier in time. Appreciate your common sense perspective Bjorn 🙏

it is political. not deciding to do something is a decision to do nothing. You have decided the politics are ok with you. talking about the Trump assassination attempt is political, talking about how you may not can back to Britain is political. and so on, you are talking about politics right here
People get angry because it is a normal defense mechanism. The trouble is that it is decades too late!
I saved an oak sapling which was growing in a gutter because the council don't clear them any more, weeds and trees growing in them. I now have that little sapling in a pot and no doubt it'll outlive me. Love your philosophy Bjorn. Love being out in nature and I think soon I'll go part time at work and enjoy nature more....the reason...? Tomorrow is never guaranteed and I see sooooo many people saving hard to retire early but the truth is they may not ever get to that stage. Enjoy life now.....get busy living or get busy dying. I'm angry. I never thought the world would be like this but I have the anger my grandfather had and it's time to change the western world.
Would that be WWII era? My grandfather was very concerned but not angry ,he died(82) from asbestos working in the shipyards welding in 40' and 50's, grandpa Hanson was a wonderful man.

yes! get out in nature! take a walk if thats all u can do. i live in Adirondack Mts upstate NY and im not angry. i do not watch the news, ever. i know theres nothing i can do to change things so just live my life. im in nature a lot and it does make u happy. I am so glad you are not "going political". That's the very reason I am here. I find your calm voice in beautiful nature (very like here in Scotland) very calming and soothing. There are enough channels talking about politics, US of A politics in particular, so no further such channels are necessary. Don't let them drag you in Bjorn and keep providing us with some sanity! I'm not particularly angry as much as I'm disgusted. Now you know why I stay in the middle of nowhere New Mexico. The coyotes, ravens and rattlesnakes are better company than most of my fellow Americans.
I guess the deep divisions we see today come from a mix of psychological biases, social influences, and how modern media operates. It’s really sad and frustrating how divided everything has become, and honestly, it depresses me to see so few people thinking critically anymore. Too many avoid opposing viewpoints because it’s easier to stay in a familiar comfort zone, and challenging beliefs can feel threatening to identity or social belonging. Social media algorithms reinforce this by keeping us in echo chambers (they really are responsible for so much misery), while emotional and sensationalized content makes it harder to engage critically. I really value your approach on that topic.

I can appreciate that you don’t want to get too political, because the climate is very polarized at the moment, and we should all be focused on toning down the rhetoric… that being said, you must understand, Bjorn, that they’re eating the dogs and eating the cats… they’re eating the pets!

Thought provoking Is what I like. I love what you talk about. I think anger is an empty emotion and is not helpful it's what causes division. People are just so separated on issues and 999 out of 1000 times if a person believes a certain way about something, then they believe certain ways about other things, act differently, will attempt to do things to other people, etc. Thus, for me, I get very angry at certain people, not because of how they think or believe in one thing. But because odds are, they will say and do things that very well hurt me or my family in some form or another. Seems silly, but it's a defensive mechanism because I've either personally been affected or seen people I know get affected in very negative ways by certain types of people that I don't agree with. You can't go through life not worrying about certain people and their ideas until it hits a breaking point. That's like saying I'll only check my engine oil when the motor blows up.

I've been subbed to you for years, what i always loved about you is that you were never political. I always loved that neutrality. Also that's why i dont like about this world is being political is the problem.
