When i lived in Roanoke Va all i used was a stander. When i moved back home to the DMV its all walkers and riders. Loved the control of the stander but cant sell my boss on it
@@mainstreetmower I have a stander Toro grandstand to be exact 48. I’m getting ready to purchase a Husqvarna 32 inch walk behind to replace my 36 gravely walk behind and I have a 34 inch Toro Z master sit down. I can tell you now standers are the way to go. Especially if you’re doing more than four or five lawns a day do you want to be quick to hurry up and pick something up? Get a stander if you don’t want to hurt your back hitting those bumps get a stander a sit down is good for a long hours of mowing a big property
At 2:09 i really thought that was swampy water you were trying to keep the mower from sliding in. Almost gave me a heart attack when i saw it going forward lmao
Nice mower, the front wheels seem very close together and seem like a tipping risk. We have the Hustler Surfer Pro 34 for our company and it's a fantastic machine. We are adding the Bad boy 34 because of closer dealership and looking forward to it. It's great to see all these mower manufacturing companies supporting the small stand-up market very strongly. In my opinion, 34 is a great choice over 36 for gate entry, especially when adding bagger hardware. 32 could be nice but maybe too small over the whole scope of things, for my area I would just mow walk behind wich is only 3-4 small yards on my routes. Again just my opinion but I love all these small mowers none the less.
Absolutely agreed. You choice of cutting width really depends on your use. And the stuff about getting the right dealer is what we preach the most. All these machines will serve you well, but only as long as you have a great dealer.
I have the Wright version of this little 32 mower, and you hit the nail on the head, the thing is terrifying going sideways on any type of hill. really easy to make it for head over rear too. I love it tho, makes all those gated cookie cutter yards a breeze. my only complaint with both the Wright and the Toro. I really wish they could find a way to make the rear platform ya stand on sit further back behind the wheels for a wider leg base. being able to part my legs for abit of air/breeze on these little 32's would be nice. but i can also see why they dont do that, the things are light enough with any bit of real speed you hit a bump with too much weight on the back end they easily pop a wheelie. >_> I light to go fast on mine so i've done my share of wheelies on my wright.
I have an fw 15 and a z1 36. I use the fw 15 just as much if not more than the z1. that 390 honda has Torque to cut the tough high grass. with the rain we are currently having the z1 sits in the truck , at least I'm still cutting whilst others aren't moving. if they made an fw15 in a 36" model I would sell the z1 in a heartbeat.
my biggest complaint, i really wish they could figure out how to make it a stand behind instead of stand between, that tiny leg room for feet spacing is horrible. its great for gated yards but, id be so much happier of they they found a way to change the frame up so a 32 inch fold up platform like on the grandstands could be used on the back. if its a weight distribution issue maybe just put some counter weight/ extra metal in the front somewhere. I'd gladly pay extra for that change on a 32. cushions too. the tower cushion on the 32 is so thin it might as well not exist, on my 32 I committed some blasphemy and took the tower cushion off a dead scag and put that on my lil 32.
@@mainstreetmower you’re right, but if you build something for the turf master or the Timemaster because I have wheel drive instead of front wheel, I think you’d be OK and you can build on a stand if you are DIY otherwise I would rather go pay 1500 for the old timeI like to handlebar better than 10 grand for 32 inch mower. I like your opinion though.
My father and I bought the Surfer Pro 34 last year mid-August and picked up more houses with smaller gates this year, and I tell you what. The little machine for its price is a monster. It has 80 hours on it already, and there no issues at all. Cuts well, and for $4800, it was perfect. Can't see myself dropping $9 for this even tho it looks nice. Might buy a encore for $7k but that's pushing it lol.
@robinrobinson2034 right! Hustler understands that many will not trade out a 1k commercial push mower for a 10k machine, their surfer pro is reasonable for what you gain and is gonna be selling like hot cakes until someone competes on price at these smaller sizes.
@@mainstreetmower when you are in a corner & need to turn wouldnt the toro stand pad bash into fences etc. i had a toro 36 walk behind and I sold it after 6 hours use because the handle stuck out so far making my turns a lot harder to get through hence standing between the wheels being the better choice
Great machine when your at high end stage of your business. Best of the best . We run grandstands for non bagging. And walker mowers for bagging. You would be surprised how much time and money you save pushing a 21 for backyards. 36 on every mowing crew trailer
Seems like everyone wants to side discharge. When you buy a mower this size, chances are you are in close quarters. I see so many guys come in and blow the damn grass all over things. Mobile home parks they blow the grass all over the skirting. Why in the hell are these not equipped to mulch, so you have no grass coming out all over things?
Nice. Scalping a lawn and simultaneously throwing grass onto the foot path with a machine that's 5 times the price of the correct machine for this job. In case I'm missing something, which I possibly am, can anyone explain why this machine was the best solution for this job?
No it's not. It's a 'Stand-On' mower that gives you great maneuverability resulting in a better cut. It's a smaller variation of the best-in-class TORO GrandStands. Only difference is that other Grandstands are 'Stand-Behind', whereas this one's a 'Stand-Between'. The 'Dingo's' are a line of heavy duty skid-steer loaders by toro.
@@chiphawthorne4248 maybe but your centre of gravity is really high and going up hills if you are a big guy sucks as it wheelies. I test rode the revolution, and I couldn’t do hills with it because every time I go to turn up the hill it wheelies. I weigh 245.Lbs. Not fat. lol. If I lean back on a grandstand, when it stationary the front wheels come off the ground, let alone when I give it power the wright zk is much better on Hills

I know what you mean. People that get used to stand-ons just don't get that joy from riders anymore. I myself am one of them.

A recycling kit is available and a popular option for these applications
Yes same i say why in the hell is there not a perfect mower where the user can do no wrong and not have the right accessories in use
I'm sure the recycling kit is equally reasonably priced.
O.C.D.C. get a qwik chute or similar device to control discharge. wouldn't mow without one on every mower. (i have 5, one grass, flap 4 qwik chutes.

$10,000? Seriously
That cut quality is disappointing. I couldn’t in good conscience charge someone for that cut.
The larger Toro grandstand needs to be a stand between instead of that annoying platform.
The wright intensity 36 is the best small stand on. Just saying.
Toro is going to offer both a stand behind( current model) and a stand between 36"( new option). Personally I think the platform is more comfortable.
