The clue is a quote from Captain Haddock in Tintin. I've read all of them. His dram was Loch Lomond. I knew what this was straight away. I love blind tasting because how you could figure Loch Lomond for Benromach is beyond me but that's the beauty of the blind. Haddock does smoke a pipe.
Multiple L's might've been a better clue. I have soft spot for Loch Lomond when it used to be pretty common in Taiwan years ago. Unfortunately haven't seen it in a few.

There was a Loch Lomond distillery prior to the 1960s one, but it was further up near Tarbat (Established 1814).

Difficult to be absolutely sure but I think there's no sherry casks involved in LL14.
