ah very nice...been some years since i visited there, but it's a lovely part of the northeast.. :) cracking trail too.. we've just got a membership for historichouses which allows free access to some places (as we've done the national trust and english heritage in the past), we stayed up in jedburgh a few weeks back and was great and visited a few places nearby, the drive up the a68 to scotland is far better (and closer) than the A1 as that's always gridlocked..
Yes we have membership to National trust and we have had membership to English heritage to. Both excellent and we'll worth the money. We often go up the S68 through Jedbugh as Katie's parents live at Galosheilds
