I had a teacher like her. Mrs.Boardwine. I will literally remember her name to the day I stop breathing. She was always pushing me to my best. I visited her classroom everyday, always told her all my issues, always told her what was going on. The reason I did this was because she always listened. I always tried to make her life easy and I always did my work. She knew me better than my own mother. She’s on my list of people I look up to.
My junior year I moved schools, on my last day, which was the day before homecoming, she threw me a going away party. The day before I previously wrote her a letter explaining how she’s made me felt and how she’s impacted my life. Then when everyone left the going away party because of class change, I stayed behind to clean up, I didn’t care if I was going to be late to my next class.
She gave me a letter back, one explaining how she was so proud of me of becoming the person I am. It made me cry. On the note she wrote, “This isn’t a goodbye, this is a see you later”..
the next year I tried open enrolling to a school 30 minutes away, they would never answer my calls, always put my mom on voicemail..
so I went to her to go to the superintendent to let me come back. And it worked.
I then came back to the school, and continued on my schedule with her. Always seeing her before class. I got her a gift and it said “Good teachers teach, Great teachers inspire”
At the end of the year I told her I was the first kid in my family to graduate and she hugged me so tightly.
I will never in my life forget her.

She went as far as to get into contact with social services and offered me a place to live with her when she had just gotten married . I declined because I wasn’t going to ruin her honeymoon phase with her husband but I’ll never forget that woman till the day I die ❤️

I went to a middle school where there was were a few higher crime rates than the district I originally lived in. My mom was a teacher there, and I got to see first hand the impact she had on her students, sort of similar to the way Mrs. G was with her kids. My mom fought to stay with them all the way until they left for high school, and by the time 8th grade was over, she'd had a bunch of drawings and letters from her kids detailing how much she meant to them. Even the ones that didn't like her that much ended up having some respect for her because of her teaching methods and personality; stern, but caring. When I first saw this movie, I actually teared up a little because of the similarities in situations between Ms. G and my mom. I'll forever look up to them both. :)

My 8th-grade teacher made us watch the line scene from this movie. I will still never forget that teacher because I had just moved to the area from a school that resembled the honors classes(demographically). At that school everyone was snobby and I always had one teacher each year that legitimately cared and I thought that was normal. Now I live in a much better environment. Every single person around me is different and in three years I have had no teachers that didn't care about their students. My school is the most diverse in the area and we also have the best test scores and ranks because my principle will only hire people who he believes care about the students.

I had... maybe one or two who ever really cared about their students... i wish i had more... the ones i had are long retired or left... and i always feel like we were robbing the next generation when they missed out on their teachings, advice, pep talks and helps... My history teacher in 9th grade... she made us work for our grade... made us write in cursive... so we knew how to read and write cursive...
The next year the school started giving us computers to do our work and homework... my brother never got to practice his cursive... he cant even read it... she was only a history teacher, but she made us practice a life long skill, and made us do hard work for a grade. When she was gone... the work i did felt like it was nothing in other classes because others did only a quarter of the work... and got a better grade than i did when i tried to give it my all because i didnt copy and paste...

All schools should mandate the scene with the line in all their classes at the start of each school year. There are so many students who are so alike in ways they aren't even aware of, and I just wonder if that scene started being done in ALL our schools, how many of them would have their lives changed? How much of the constant bullying would come to an end? how many suicides might be prevented just by showing the students just how alike they actually are to their peers?

    How can the body
    Not turn around the soul,
Which looks like a sky with torches?
    O beauty!
The attraction point of my compass like soul.
Who is the beauty of the land?
    I am beyond illusions.
