Nice tree, guys. Great job, Yusuf. If I may, I like the tree at the positions of 9.03 and 9.10 minutes. Of course, I'm unable to see the entire tree as you can. I have a tall white spruce that I need to do some bending on. That was great inspiration, thank you.
I dont know if you still reply to comments, but I have a question regarding the wiring. You are the only bonsai artist I see using parallel wiring instead of the standard spiral wiring. I wonder if there is any reason for that? It does seem to me that the risk of the wires eating into the bark is a bit lower, and the scars might be less recognizable than the spiral pattern?
To bent such a thick branch we needed to us a few lengths of heavy grade wire. Initially, we felt we may need 4 lengths of 6mm wire, and winding them we felt would create too much or a counter a spring in the coils so we opted to use them in parallel, which, meant that I could have to use another layer on the wire, but it meant that we could do tighter curves and bends all in one go. Hope that helps?
Excellent job! Can’t wait for the follow up vid!
Good to see you both, great video
+Brian Norman Thank you Brian :)

Cool video.. Leggy pine, killer bark, will look good in some years when it pops back-buds, as long as you jin that lower right branch, im in!

Brilliant!
I like it! How long will you have to leave the wire on the big trunks/branches until the bends set? Good work!
Where is the update that was mentioned in the video? It's been 5 years, an update would make an AWESOME video!!!
Thanks for the video; Is there a particular advantage of laying out wire in this mostly parallel fashion over and above using wire to spiral around?
