Jazz-fusion band "The Aristocrats" (Marco Minnemann - drums, Guthrie Govan - guitar, and Bryan Beller - bass) gave three mesmerising concerts in Vladivostok and Nakhodka in December 2012. Their visit was supported by the U.S. Consulate General in Vladivostok, Primorye Regional Philharmonic Hall, music clubs Shiber and Cat'N Clover. The project took place under the auspices of the U.S.-Russia Bilateral Presidential Commission.
You are watching the Greatest guitar player alive today.
Got that right!!!
No doubt.
an argument could be made that Adam Rofowitz is his equal .
@@johanjotun1647 I watched him and he is pretty talented.
You are watching the greatest musicians alive today.
I love how Marco always plays with a smile on his face. He must be the happiest man alive :-)
120 million $ will do that...
@@ManyThingsSeem and play music for that
@@ManyThingsSeem
Millions do not have much to do with that.
This drummer I like to watch ... Playing and smiling, joy on his face
its crazy how much variety he can play on guitar, he really is an inspiring.
He's like Buckethead without the bucket.
Amazing musicians all the way around .
So many beautiful shifts of tone and attack. Astonishing musicianship.
Regardless, he still has pretty much the best sounding yet simplest guitar rigs around; incredible live sound!
This man (and his band) are quite possibly one of the most eclectic instrumental groups I've heard in some time. The quieter sections of this song actually remind me a lot of Bill Frisell. Not too many "shredders" out there listen to that sort of thing, but Guthrie is obviously an exception! He surprises me every time I hear him play, which is incredibly inspiring for any musician. Great stuff!
6:36 he’s so cool when he does that😀
Просто КРАСАВЧИКИ!!! Обажаю эту команду
Every note travels the space not found in keyboard. Those versatile musical note , the magic of govan.
I can't get over Marco's smile. It makes me happy - he just makes the group sound so damn good and he knows it.
I love the fact that they played in Vladivostok, i don't imagine many bands make it a stop during their tours haha
Great!!
And the drummer and bass player. A team...
Perfect sound
I love it when Guthrie gives me that look.
Absolutely beautiful.
fing amazing
I only recently discovered the aristocrats and im so thankful i did, but i wish i knew about them sooner. Im in love
This is actually my favorite tune from the aristocrats.
I'm sad I discovered these dudes on 2018... absolute gods
Some of the sweetest chords I've ever heard in that intro.
O cara é muito versátil!!!
This group has inspired me so much i created an instrumental band and like The Aristocrats we play with soul
Flat out incredible. I am addicted to this band, they can do no wrong. Totally unique and so expressive!
Absolutely beautiful solo from Guthrie
So very inspirational
Power trio of the planet ....
Love this version...brings me musical joy and peace, cheers!
Ooh, this is an extra slow and tasty version of this tune. I love it!
BMG...best rendition of all the flat lands.
i'm definitely preferring this new charvel of his. i think its an amazing guitar!
my god I love you guys *_*
One day Marco will be more famous for that shirt than for his drumming
notable matizes!blues balad fusion!!
brilliant , beauty 😊
this guys are awesome................marco should be in dream theater
no he should be in hte aristcrats!
Perfect💯✨
This Performance got it all!!
this charvel looks so great guitar,,and i might thing this model was exclusive made signature for him....sounds so brillant tone is must be for the marshall amp..
BRAVO!!!
Indeed--great chords
AWESOME!!!! TKS!!!
Just beautiful.. amazing song and players.
I really love this performance. I've been listening to it for the last weeks, non-stop.
I actually like the Marshall's clean sound a lot, and the fill at 1:15 is sooo tasty :-)
Hits my ''music bone'' every time!
Marko and Bryan
Perfection.
Incase case you're not aware Marco Minneman -the drummer and Bryan Beller (the bassist) are actually touring musicians for Satriani :)
reminds me of 1979 Zappah stuff half way between Bozzioh and Colaiutah.
very tasteful playing; great stuff
THANK YOU!
Brilliant. That is all I have to say about this.
I really enjoy this track - reminds me of a Jose Neto track that I just can't place, no matter how much I rack my brain. OF course, these guys take it to a completely different place to Jose Neto, it's pretty staggering.
That high crash cymbal Marco has sounds killer...along with the rest of his kit
Looking forward to seeing them in Nashville in July!
G-g. M-m. B-b. wow mind blow..
I saw that drummer play with Paul Gilbert!
Peasants would be appropriate name too
I like the sound of that charvel
That clean chord progression reminds me very much of Jeoff Farina and Karate
I think the reason why he's not souding as usual is this Marshal amp behind him. His new charvel is pretty awesome, acttualy.
Вкусно!
MARCO!
I like the freak guitar camp t shirt :)
Fuckin love his tone
Marco loves that t-shirt.... C is for cookie !
Def some Rush influence there!
You play so well !
great footage tks!
Agree!!!
I love the Eric Johnson influence in this tune
wow
Powerful Trio ! Guthrie Govan, Marco Minnemann Bryan Beller
Thanks for posting,
sadowsky300470
lol i commented to soon. Guthrie started playing extremely fast hahaha
🙃
Not only that, but listen and compare the overall sound of this clip (drums and bass) with other clips. This one is a bit darker and seems to be missing a bit of high end so that could account for some of the difference. I saw them live in January and the charvel was phenomenal.
Why can I only like once? 1,000 likes from me :-)
Gatto Buono keep trying bro.. :D
Dear MrNiVLAALVin,
thank you for your inquiry. Due to my agreement with the artists, I cannot sell or share the recordings in any other way than it is now.
Sincerely,
Nikolay
Watch the demo video. It sounds really good as well. I think it is the Marshall amp that's "dulling" the sound.
They are great! And I'm a huge fan... If you like fusion and jazz/bossa I suggest you to listen Nosso Trio - Brooklyn High (Brazil's Jazz band). This is Not a spam, ok?!
My wrists and back hurt just watching the bassist
Beck-esque!
We are musicians and teachers to all who want to learn and enjoy. No need cavalli or other brands to go and play. Look at him. Pocket full of something, key or l dont know.
Mancuso, Ostro, Henson... Vai, Satriani, Randy, Edward... if ANYONE's at the top it's Guthrie... but if you want to like Gilmore best I understand. 🎉
HOOOOOOOOOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GOVAN IS A FUCKING MONSTER!
reminds me of opeth a bit...the chill vibe they sometimes had....
It's true, but JCM2000 (I think that's what it is?) are actually pretty musical good amps, just more compressed than what Guthrie is used to.
He still uses the Suhr Badger amps, he just doesn't endorse them :) He hasn't used Cornford amps for quite some time now! He doesn't even mention them on The Aristocrats website
definitely the Marshall...
Everything is perfect, just that sound of ride cymbal always kills me :D where the fuck he found that.
guthrie is a beast.every interviewer shudders when they talk to him.
The 20 "thumb down" are deaf of Justin Bieber fans (that in someway is similar)…
Sounds very Eric Johnson inspired in a lot of parts.
both sound almost identical. Most likely it's the marshall he is using, or just the way the sound was recorded.
Why did you have to mention Zappa. Now all I can think is how great a Frank + Guthrie collaboration would have been!
I'd wish that Beller did more solos :(

He's a Cornford endorsee and now that he's with Charvel I doubt he'll be using Suhr's anymore!
yeah I don't think that's his amp of choice. I saw a vid of him complaining about the marshall he had to use. I think he's still using suhr amps
marco may be a great drummer but i have more t-shirts than him. achievement unlocked xD
