Would love to see you paint any scene from the Ghibli movie Nausicaä. Those fungal forests are unbelievable. The movie is a little bit violent but not so much as Mononoke so I think you'd like it.
Don’t watch Grave of the Fireflies! My husband cried for literally an hour! My favourites are Howl’s moving Castle, Kiki’s Delivery Service, Totoro and Castle in the Sky 🥰 All these paintings are gorgeous by the way!
I've heard that a bunch of times now so I'll definitely stay away from that movie! 😂 I haven't seen Castle in the Sky yet so I guess that's gonna be next :) Thank you!!
I absolutely love all of the pieces. I like how you dont copy them exactly and make them your own. It is much more interesting this way! Also I really enjoyed your new skillshare class 🙃
lolol , i keep watchin , re watching your videos , so much to learn and your voice is so calming , and boom i get another video from you here , yay , ty for all the work you put in
I'm so impressed with how you painted these ghibli scenes in your own unique way. They're gorgeous! By the way, I have a question that maybe you can answer. If I do a skillshare course, what factors determine whether a teacher gets paid, and how much? I've done classes in the past, where I didn't get around to doing the final project. And then I always feel so guilty because I'm afraid now the teacher won't get paid. As always, thank you very much for your wonderful tutorial. I enjoy both the art and your thoughts every time. ☘️
Thank you very much! 😊 I'm not very active on Skillshare right now for many reasons but here's how I'm experiencing it with my courses: At the moment teachers get paid either from referrals (if somebody signs up with my link, I get a part of their first payment after the trial period) and by minutes watched on courses. If you only watch the teaser video, I don't think the teacher gets much (if anything) If you watch the full course, then the teacher gets the most. Uploading a final project or leaving a review doesn't give us any money. But these things are important for the course to be successful in the long run. And Skillshare recently started deleting courses that don't have enough engagement. One of my courses was actually affected and has now been deleted from the platform. So as a student I'd say watch the full course and if you liked it, leave a positive review for the engagement. If you can't upload a student project it's not the end of the world :)
With Ghibli, Hiyao Miyazaki said he realized that there was a lack of movies where the main protagonist is a young girl, so he decided to make them. Ever since seeing that interview, I watch and appreciate all of them. Princess Mononoke is tough to watch if you are not in the right mood. It is dark and about the forest vs mankind (industrialization). It was meant to be visually uncomfortable. Spirited away teaches children manners and shows hard work as well as the adventure aspect. My 3 kids have picked up thank you and bowing from this movie lol I hope you will give more of the movies a chance. Howl's Moving Castle is my current favorite (especially when Sophie is cleaning and Marko says "sorry shops closed, there's a witch on the rampage" lol) Very awesome paintings. Hoping one day to try gouache in the Ghibli style
I tried to watch Princess Mononoke but I'm hypersensitive and can't deal with violence so it definitely wasn't for me. I really liked Howl's Moving Castle! I think I've watched most of the Ghibli movies on Netflix now :D
Sceneries one of the arty inspiration. Always got this feel good feeling. I fall in love with my favorite mobile game, BLACK DESERT MOBILE, THEY have epic scenes.
How do you figure out how to make the foundation/base layers of a painting by looking at the reference? It's easy to follow a tutorial but I always find it hard to decide how to start the painting. Your art is marvellous😍😍 Love from India🇮🇳
I always love your videos! I'm going to be getting some Acrylic Ink from Liquitex here in the future to try out some more techniques. I have acrylics, watercolors and gouache, but it will be nice to try one of the 'in between' mediums. It's amazing the kind of detail is in a painting/picture when you go to replicate it yourself and really study it. I got a couple of art books this last year- art of Harry Potter and Art of Frozen II and it's incredible how much work goes into these movies.
it like these quick paintings. even though it's more cartoony bc it's just a quick painting, it makes you feel satisfying just finishing some paint on your book. seems like a good trick to keep it as a reference in your book so you can choose which to move it to a real canvas to make it more detail
Aaa I'm so sorry I missed the live! But I adore all of the paintings you did, they are beautiful! And haha dont worry I dont think your doing anything wrong with your plants, mine always seem to die during the winter and autumn 😂💕
What's your favorite Studio Ghibli movie? 😊

Which colours you’ve used???
These are really nice :)
Glad you like them!
Does the gouache we have to paint it with smal brush or big brush
You can pick any brush you feel comfortable with but with gouache I'd go for a rather small one :)
Wow u r so talented ❤️❤️ definitely going to reach 5k subs👍
Thank you so much 😀
I have acrylic painting and I am so frustrated cause I can't layer the color even when it's already dry.... T-T
