    I love it! Kirsten said so much that was so deep. You really enabled her to unleash her truth here; amazing work. Side note- It's funny, she mentioned meditation. I'm a soil scientist turned Reiki Master, and people often ask me how they can meditate better. Well yeah- I ask them what hobbies they enjoy, and remind them: "Whatever you do until your mouth dries out, THAT is your meditation". I love their faces as they make the realization. Anyway, great inspiring video.

    This is a fantastic and uplifting story! It's so beautiful how fine art can come from dirt :) As an artist, I certainly understand the 'ugly' phase of a painting while the layers are being built up. I'm so glad that this grew into an international event. Simply amazing. Thanks, Summer for sharing this story.

    SUMMER!! thank you! This was beautiful. I am 100% the same as Kirsten in the respect that I can lose myself in art projects, which help me relax, because like she says, I am also a very high energy person. It is so beautiful what she has produced and even though she is using a medium that is non-traditional, it highlights something important as well as creates beautiful pieces of art that would stand proud side by side with some of the greats in the art world. But thank you again, this has really touched me and I am so glad I saw it xxx

    What a wonderful wholesome reportage. It makes me sad though. I feel like we as humans have wasted too much time ignoring the essential aspects of the world we live in. And now we just see these little fragments of almost "tortured" planet. To think we couldve put our efforts and intelligence into understanding the physics, chemistry and the world; into nurturing compassion and kindness for everything, we couldve made the planet more beautiful instead of going the technological way... it is a weird mix of frustration and eagerness to change it from now for the future.

    I thought I had a comment, couldn't find it so repeating. I loved the combination of art and soil. I paint and I draw and I am also a gardener. This touched my soul! I would like to attempt at least one. What do you seal the painting with so it won't fall apart over time. Could use crush brick or limestone and use it or would you not! Thanks for a marvelous way to express yourself! I love the 3 Sisters and have planted it and now you have intrigued me. Thanks!

  • @vogthorstar3206
    @vogthorstar3206 3 года назад

    Painting with sand soil and crushed rock dates back to the 7th century AD. Try mixing your soil with walnut oil and resin binders. It will be easier to work with than the gel mediums. Southern soil reds are truly vibrant because of the iron content. There are many traditional painters who painted with " mud" or soil in the south . You use what you have in your environment. Sad to hear that you felt that people would not take you seriously. Art and Science are both explorations and documentations of creative processes. The best scientists are creative. The best artists must use science to master the materials that they work with. Keep going!

    your findings that the human body and soil have many similar properties supports the writings of the Jewish people/Jewish history. their forefather's write that their God, the God of their forefather's Abraham Isaac and Jacob, the God of Israel today, created all life from the top soil of the ground. So it makes since that they properties found in soil are also found in the human body. The Jews have a national history like no other nation. 👍🏽😉

    Man comes from soil. Does says and old tale that ain't tale or old at all. You've probably heard about Adam and Eve, Adam comes from adamah (hebrew) wich means red earth and then God gave him His breath and life and gave Him the purpose to take care of the garden that He created for them.
    In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth and the earth was chaotic and desolate... and then He made everything perfectly so that human kind could live in abundancy and in eternal life beside Him but then we disobeyed Him and we are here. Nonetheless He guides us as a Father does His child thanks to Jesus who redeemed us from that disobedience (sin). Jesus will be King over all the earth and He will erradicate death, and Satan who tries to destroy humans, the creation of God and brings chaos.
    Then the nation will change their weapons for tools for working the earth.
    I love Him so much and His Word trough wich He created everything.
    May the Lord bless and keep you, may His continence shine upong you and vring you His peace in the name of the Lord of Peace Jesus.
