I don't know a lot about fashion or models, but from the clips I see of their walks on the runway, the wide majority (at least the well known ones), have their own signature walk. I've seen videos of people studying those walks, from the pace of the feet to the bounce, and sway of their hips, to the squaring of their shoulders. Some models are harder to mimic than others with their walk which is pretty cool. The bigger models have iconic walks, which do seem very uncomfortable. But, once again, this is just my theory.
