Joe- That is fantastic! I absolutely love making electrical contraptions of all sorts and your box is heavy duty, compact and looks great. I didn’t know the frame tabs were grounded! Outstanding! Greats stuff!!! 😃👍
I made one that is a four gang metal box on a 25 ft extension cord. Works great when I need power out in the driveway. I think the timer is a brilliant idea and I might have to make one to shut down my brass tumblers after 2-3 hours.
They sell a similar version with a remote that I want to try for my air compressor. My compressor is in the garage but my shop is in the basement with a line running to it, says it's a RF Signal that will work thru walls and it's 15 amps which is what my compressor is.............Timers are super handy for a multitude of uses.
So can I not just splice in an extension cord with a rotorary timer switch in-between in a junction box? Do I "need" to also wire a duplex outlet in as well? Trying to literally add a timer switch in a treehouse so the kids can't leave the lights on 24/7.

Fantastic project! I have a similar timer sitting on my work bench, maybe I'll make one of these as well!
Pretty cool. Super handy.
Nice Mr. Joe! Hope you have had a great 4th!
Nice job!
Well done, Joe.
Great work dude 😊😊

Very compact, I like it.
Nice little project Joe (Electricians are not normal.... 👍 🙄 😁 )

@tdcjonm yea, adding the timer in line would do the same thing. I'm too cheap to cut a long extension cord. Cheers
