You helped me realize why my Hog Rider starts were so often going poorly. Thank you! It had been particularly frustrating since I'd be so excited to get Hog off the rip that the rest of the match going poorly felt extra bad.
@@andyjames7592 still wouldn't pick the rider first. rider is best in battles where everyone is focused on themselves until the very end when they think they have a big enough troupe (i.e. double trouble/1 coin chest). the rider is a key unit when the majority of ur squad is supplier based or low health/low damage units. if i'm leading in gems it seems that losing a unit causes massive gem loss when one dies, so a hog rider can let me ride out those last 15 seconds while i just run away to keep from losing gems to that person who won't stop chasing me. also i mentioned before that when every unit dies, they leave a gravestone, and those gravestones slow down units unless u have a hog rider.
And if you can pick up wander, or shop warder you can getting 3 emeralds every 15 coins, if posible. If fast dush grown manvish or Greg are better. 1st is posible these combos and, or bandits. Barbarians also good, also epic characters or even healers. Im not noob.
Greg is most of the time a good first pick. If u chop 2 trees he gives u enough coins to open 2 chest. No players attacks you in the first 10 seconds of a game.
Goblin is an awesome first pick....you can hit the next chest literally right away without killing anything and then you can take a DPS for your next pick. And now you are getting extra coins + have DPS from the start.
get to the top 50 in squad league then I'll reconsider your comment traders are good, but you're not gonna be able to farm coins quickly, other squads will just kill you (if you're still in SJ you'll be fine, but you won't survive SL)

I'd argue that the chicken is one of the better common starts, giving you the ability to manouvre in and out of trouble, boosting your DPS because of the boots attack speed. Chicken start with fusion ASAP is very strong for chasing down enemies, that combined with barbs/colts/shellies makes a very strong squad.

This has actually been super helpful in upping my game, tank is ridiculously good and shelly/barb early on have been fantastic, I've had several 500+ gems matches since adopting this as a strategy

Chicken is a fairly good first pick. Yeah until you have a few hachlings his damage is a bit low. But you have boots. You can just speed through the early game economy and go faster than others. If your second pick does a fair amount of damage having chicken first is good. Bo is also great first. But it depend on the mode. While I think he doesn't belong in weak. He still 2 shot crates. And destroy game mode enemies. It's the easiest way to get big amount of coins early on the gobelin thief's mode for example. Gobelin is also pretty good has he is basicly just more dps. As you can instantly open 2 boxes. As for other suppliers. Trader is the worst since he doesn't give you more gold. But he still heal you. But the other are just another gold source that help you speed through the early game economy. And if you want a combat ready squad. We'll just get the first supplier alone and he might die later freeing a spot.

With enough speed boosts you can gain an amazing advantage in most of the modified modes (ring grab, gem pot, item surge, etc.) and additionally you can enable the viability of greg and mavis early game as you have enough speed to get away from opponents and towards a chest with the resources you have. Additionally I think trader should go at the lowest rank as there's really no point to getting him early game with the amount of coins you get, and you just make yourself a juicier target having more gems and a weaker squad early game. Trader is amazing later game though. I also disagree with bo low teir, he can make up for the weaknesses that picking chicken would entail by raising dps whilst still having enough speed to get out of a situation. I'm not at your late game level, I only have 3 stars right now and I'm in the beach area because I'm F2P, so maybe I don't have enough experience to understand your takes, but that's my 2 cents. I used to pick any rare/epic if I had a chance to, but it's actually a terrible idea as it is very difficult to fuse in the early game and chests end up very expensive
El Primo should NOT be chosen when the match starts, with his low damage and attack speed he'll take excessive time to get coins to open chests. On the other hand, Greg, Goblin, Chicken and Barbarian should be picked right away, as Barbarian can defeat weak troops fairly easily, Goblin gives you additional coins when chosen/fused, Chicken gives you turbis when chosen/fused (Which you will need a LOT), and Greg as he can chop trees for loot. (Mavis can be an alternative, but Greg is faster and gives the same amount of money.)
Goblin and Greg are good first choice. Makes it easy to build squad and they are strong enough to hold their own in the beginning. Add a colt or heavy and you stand a good chance of not getting busted. But most of us know this!
You didn't mention medic, and i know why, but if he pops up early,.. i get the medic if u have a barb or shelly. He keeps them alive at the start... But I agree, Barb and Shelly are the way to go. Still, as health can be a thing early game. Medic typically comes in clutch
He's nice to have early because you can't guarantee to have him near the start, especially before 2 min remaining Not good at first pick, but if I have gob bo medic, I might just pick medic depending on the game mode

Nah id take chicken, greg or barbarian any day to start. They are goated; getting fast gems and coins is the way to go. While i agree it’s definitely good to be battle ready. Most of the time everyone is looting the first few seconds. But getting barbarian is always my second choice or if by any chance there is a healer I’ll get them right away to not risk not having a healer later.

Calling Greg a poor firstpick is just absolutely wrrong. The greg start gives you such high amounts of gold in no time, that before anyone would ever try to search the fight, you'll already be so far ahead to anyone not having greg start. He's literally the best first pick in the common category. I'd only prefer barb king, archer queen or tank
There is nothing that gives you consistently more coins through early and midgame. The Barb or Shelly start is just wayyyy slower. Ofc if I already found a tank firstpick I just conquer middle and dont care about gregs anymore. Punishing any supplier heavy build I can find.

It's premium unit from what I experienced from playing for 1 week, I have a 3 star unit but still doesn't have hog riders even though it's just a rare type unit. I think you can buy them in store with lots of coins or you can just buy them in packs for real money

I really like this game and the game play. The only thing is the dam tickets to play that sux asz . If they don't do away with that soon I probably will uninstall the game. The ticket buy and waiting 3hrs for the next ticket to magically appear is nonsense . Which isn't understandable because there other games that they made are quite fun and actually not a bank breaker.

Nah. Suppliers are great first picks. Suppliers help you build your troops up. The top people in the world, as a matter of fact, the number 5 guy in the world, says to always pick at least one supplier to start the game.

soooo I've first picked medic before, and the issue is that his dps is low and you can't rush fuse it, so he becomes an expensive opener.

@@yordyuzzyel8062 chicken is not good early game, the point of early game is to farm as fast as possible. Also Bo is still useful for taking out monsters in the middle at the end of a game, especially when paired with archer queen
Jeff, Mavis, Goblin will get you the coins the fastest so you can buy the tanky guys and the epics. 🙄
