This is an extraordinarily good account of the Kohima battle - with outstanding graphics and recce photos. Why on earth cannot others who produce programmes about Imphal/Kohima achieve this level of clarity?

You say @19:45 that Japanese General Sarto [ spelling ? ] was the first Japanese General to retreat in the face of the enemy. What about Gen. Horii who commanded the Japanese force that came to Kokoda in New Guinea approx July 1942 ? He was forced to retreat by Australian and New Guinean troops in November 1942 and drowned in that retreat. That's two years before Gen Sarto.

Why is every individual forgot about the KUKI
    ANGLO- KUKI WAR (1917-19)
It was the largest military expedition carried out by the mighty British in North East India..

Not meaning in any way to relegate or even less to denigrate the memory, achievement, suffering or loss of the fallen of either of the joint battles of Imphal & Kohima in 1944, but could someone explain to me & anyone else, as to why & on what grounds & evidence is the assertion made & the epithet of these battles being "Britain's greatest battle," then conferred here? How has this appellation been explained, rationalized &/or justified in a historical, military or geopolitical context for these battles?
This title is rather grandiose & very controversial, as there have been numerous similar battles and conflicts, as plausible contenders, that many other historians or military experts have also claimed as being deserving for this title too amongst the plethora & array of other of Britain's battles fought over the centuries. Thank you in keen anticipation of this clarification.

In a contest organised by the National Army Museum in 2013.

This epic battle was voted Britain's Greatest Battle in a poll by the National Army Museum. The contest’s criteria included a battle’s political and historical impact, the challenges the troops faced, and the strategy and tactics employed. Waterloo had topped an online poll which produced a list of 20 land battles fought since the English Civil War. The top five were debated at the NAM before going to an audience vote.
