Just found your channel today and I just wanted to say I'm really enjoying your videos. I myself am hard of hearing and have been wearing hearing aids since I was 12 or 13 years old due to a hearing disease called otosclerosis. After a few surgeries and many hearing aides, I decdided I needed something better. My audiologist recommended to see a otologist about the possibility of a cochlear implant, so I have a cochlear implant evaluation in a couple of weeks to see if I qualify for the procedure. I have been looking up cochlear implant procedure/experience videos to better educate myself. Can you recommend any questions that I should ask during the evaluation?
Hello! I would recommend that you write down any questions relevant to your unique situation. You may want to ask what the criteria are in terms of age, background, previous hearing loss, and potential medical issues (such as a deformed cochlea) that may prevent surgery. You may also want to ask how much insurance will cover all of this. Let me know how it goes. :-)
I agree with you @BrianJohns. I would like to the advertising world needs to CC their commercials even after enabling CC on your TV and social media. Lost communication on commercials is lost revenue. Simple as that.
