It's interesting how the 1983 intro had a new version of the theme, then BBC decided to reuse the 1980 version of the theme in the 1986 intro (and they used it until 1993). Also I LOVE the electric guitar, especially on the 1980 version.
Longer History, More Serious but More Vibrant than David Lowe's theme, I prefer NewsNight as my personal favourite - You know it will be something serious when you hear it (not an ordinary news bulletin). Look forward to 28 January 2020 - 40th Anniversary for NewsNight. Can't help but will say "Good Evening" every time after the tune ends. The most standard way to pronounce these two words.
tpc.915 The new 2020 one is pretty dyer, the bbc editor worked with George Fenton to make it different for a new presenter, thinking now it’s now past it’s sell by date as the brand was to old at 40 years to continue.,
Rather RIP old Hir TV. After 1st of March, Hir Tv is practically Echo TV but with different, more estabilished name (as they have Echo TV journalists, and its intros and studios). Also, ATV Hiradó is worth compilation too. There were intros of Echo TV and ATV Hiradó from 2008/2009 on RUclips but disappeared because of account KPMTV deleted

Well, one thing is for sure. The theme music still remains unchanged to this date. And that's for good. Some uniqueness must be preserved.

I love how the Newsnight theme is badass, but still has a very English Renaissance style to it.
