Blues fan here, Rowett first time round was fantastic, put together a competitive side on next to nothing budget, made us strong and really good on counter attack before he was stupidly sacked for Zola whilst we were on verge of play offs. Second time round last season, came in with 7 or so games left after Mowbray was taken ill. Had he been given extra few games i think we’d of been ok however he simply didn’t attack the situation positively enough and we went down wondering what if. Back to back away games against Huddersfield and an already relegated Rotherham were costly as Rowett played for the point. Good luck to GR I think the way Buckingham was moved on might make it a tricky start should he start slowly KRO
Still need to spend in the transfer window we are up against seasoned championship players sometimes twice a week. Sad to see Des go but the form wasn't good enough in a league where you need at least a point a game on average to survive.
If you want to get to know the fans 1) welcome, Respecfully done interview, it will take time for all of us to accept and fully accept you (it's not you it's us and how we met) . 2) When you say Ambition (desire and determination to achieve success) at least one season in the premiship and competative European football within Six years please. 3) you have managed in the championship and kept clubs up before. We have gone up from the third to the second teir and then from the second to the first teir of english football in sucessive seasons, as champions, failing taking us up into the premiship for the first time, keeping us would be very good. 4) Unreasonabile expections is something that Oxford fans have been accused of having over the years, however Playing in the Second teir, Building a new stadium and Having owners who actually care and povide the money were all seen by some as unreasonable expections in the past. 5) I hope when you leave Oxford United will it be because you retire after at least 14 years managing in the premiership and a few trophies? Good luck, Get us playing spectacularly like we can, week in week out and most importantly get the lads to score more goals than the other team in every game! Hello and Good luck COYY
No but top 8 with Milwall seven seasons in a row and a good record at Derby. Des was a good man but was beginning to struggle a bit even he would agree with that. This guy has a lot of street cred let's give him a fair chance.
I don’t think we could ask for anyone better. Good luck to him - and us.
An excellent appointment, Rowett is very competent and should keep Oxford up.

Finally some championship experience 😍😍
Seems like a great chap. Rowett’s yellow army 💛
Seems a great appointment with a good track record for turning ailing Championship teams around.
Chris Williams is a legend but Ryan really is top notch with the interviews
Shame he’s not so top notch with press releases…… 😂😂😂
Shame he's scottish lol
love the ox design on the back wall
semoga gary bisa membawa dampak positif di oxford, ayo oxford!
Be interesting to see what happens with Dembele, banished him at blues last season, didn’t think he worked hard enough nor was he up for the fight
Could not have made a better choice 👍Stop them going down ,👍
I expect A lot of good stuff from him
I was bought into Des. It feels a bit treacherous, but let's give Gary a chance.

Gary just teach the defence how to defend and tackle please. Pllus get rid of Harris.
Championship experience? Yes, with a number of clubs, achievements seem to be difficult to spot.
