I can’t wait until we have galleons, man-o-wars and ships of the line.
I would already be happy if got a nice frigate or something. The ships those privateers have are also pretty nice. Why we can't we get those ? 🙈 Just something with a nice amount of cannons. Not like seven or eight per side. 20 or 30 would be nice. And yes, we're priates, but I also would like to have some pretty ships. Why is that a priviledge of the french in the game? 😂
I love the Brig ..I love the versatility it brings like increased reload to auxiliary for yourself and allies then the mines are nice to crowd control but il be honest it’s not for everyone
Brig and Barque are just reskins of the Snow. But I like the brig. There is a lot you can do with the springloaders, like funneling mobs since the ai seems to try to evade mines.
Barque is a Snow with extra shit attached, Brig is a Sambuk with extra shit attached and different sails
Idk man..... Its faster ,more weapons then barque , more health better brace , sure the abilities of the ship its self is underwhelming but im kinda digging it more then the barque an i got is day one an has been my main ship
I rate it it will probably be a must have ship for the Twin fight!
Honestly, I'm a bit disappointed with it visually. I'm fine with the sail arrangement, though I think the staysails look a little silly, I don't even have issue with all the cranes and stuff. My issue is that they used the wrong hull. It should have been the Brigantine hull, except slightly larger and instead of the swept back it had the flat back with all the windows, like on the Frigates. A Brigantine is just a Brig but with a different sail arrangement, and how segmented the mainmast is, so it makes sense they should have just used an altered Brigantine hull.
If you don't know this yet but you can shoot the buoys to cause the whole minefield to explode compare that with buoy locker you can cause some mass damage
I am on level 3 of the Brig, Ive gone back to the Brigatine level6. + you need a silly amount of drill bits to uprate the Brig.
I have 13,000 drill bits from last season lmao

Thanks for the video. 1 correction to the stats… the brig has 10 gun ports on each broadside, not 8. That actually changes the usefulness in my opinion especially when using carrons. Not other ship can give you 10 shots per broadside for all deck weapons. Also, the infernal maw spring loader is insane! Paired with the flooding, I see some potential there.

The Brig is good at one thing: Regattas. Upgraded it does 18kts, is nimble and has better overall sailing characteristics than other ships at that speed.
For anything else I don't see the point. For convoys, I use the spring loader (Infernal Maw) and the Buoy Locker on a Sambuk, for healing the Barque is still better. The ship perks on the Brig make not enough difference. For Monster Hunting, I still trust on my Snow (4x Dardanelles and mine fields are awesome for that).
I really love the spring loader, though I don't use the Brig for it. All mentioned ships are at upgrade level 6/6.
They should have made the perk function with bouys that deploy from the ship, not the springloader. That way it doesnt occupy a weapon slot and gives the ship perks that stand out. Those bouys could heal or buff players and become a useful addition instead of a lost cause.
Ive never let the buoys just sit, i usually destroy them to immediatly proc fire damage. The brig with caronades and mine buoy absolutly shreds with flood damage in pvp. Its not a bad ship at all if you play it right. Sambuk is just op right now.
No. It’s not good. But I think it’ll shine when we fight both twins at the same time. Especially if they’re able to do significant damage to multiple targets
I want a large ship with multiple floors of cannons
The ship absolutely sucks. It’s a fundamentally flawed support-only build that fails in its own purpose to support anybody as the springloader is too weak for any realistic game combat. It can handle low level plunders solo but that’s about it. But don’t just come at me though, hear me out, I have a very good and detailed explanation as to why you should NEVER use this crap ship:
1) The ship perks only work with the springloader weapon which is very weak and underpowered.
2) Focusing on the Springloader, it would take more than 6 minutes of a high level enemy ship (like level 12-15) to sit completely still in your minefield to eventually sink. Obviously ships don’t just stay still, they always sail out of the way of your mines, so it would take way longer than that in reality. Yes it sucks that much. Put the other weapons back into the equation to kill your enemy and congratulations, you just have a normal ship with a useless perk. With that being said you may as well pick a different ship that doesn’t have its sole purpose to just focus on the crappy springloader.
3) The only time the Brig would ever come in handy is using it in a team for area effect healing, which is a waste of time as you are not getting XP for any of the kills around you. Ubisoft do not reward support players, and only reward DPS players who take down enemies. Also players who see a circle around them during combat mostly sail out of the way 70% of the time, thinking they are being attacked by a mortar. In the La Peste event his icon for poison was a yellow/green colour that looked the same as healing colour. So if you do want to heal people with the Brig good look getting them to sit in 1 place.
4) We already have the Barque as a better healing ship as it passively heals friendly ships automatically (including the red ‘severe’ damage) without the need for using a weapon slot or mine
5) The season pass fire-based springloader weapon ‘Infernal Maw’ isn’t worth it either as Sambuk ablaze effect is 4x better for fire damage. Sambuk with Blue Spectre or Kalikinos iii actually aims where you want meaning a guaranteed hit, as opposed to the Springloader shooting which might miss your target completely. Sambuk perks also spread your fire ablaze effect damage to other ships in 150m radius, deals 5000 damage immediately to an enemy that has ablaze effect, and increased damage to ships that have ablaze effect by 50%. Yeah Sambuk is literally 4x better than the Brig for fire.
Sadly, the Brig is a waste of time, I have it level 12 currently sat doing automated PO8 runs. The fact that they called it the Brig when we already have a ship named Brigantine (which everybody shortened to Brig) is also just extremely confusing and LAZY on Ubisoft’s part. I know in real life there is 2 ships with these names but this is a game and gamers don’t want to be confused especially since the herbs were made legal in the USA 😂

@@captaingti your comment is dumb, you can solo Premie in any ship. You didn’t prove any points here except for the fact that he could have solo’d premie 3x faster with any other ship. Mans just making his game harder for no reason. He probably died 20 times and spent 90% of the plunder hiding behind the giant rock in the way of their weapons. And the springloader isn’t designed for taking out towers or walls either (it doesn’t have the fortify perk that rockets have for extra damage to structures). You and your friend have no idea what you are doing in this game. Maybe you will benefit to listen to other builds…
There will always be noobs with a low number of play hours that think this is a good ship if you haven’t already unlocked the Sambuk and the Barque, and if it’s the best you can get that’s fine but it’s a fact that it’s got bad DPS and bad healing stats. You can’t argue with the numbers.
But this ship would NOT be able to take on actual endgame content. I don’t know what you want me to say to your comment, you can do Premie solo in any ship, it doesn’t change the fact that the Brig ship still absolutely sucks, it’s a fact backed up by 5 solid points
Seeing as you are a smarty pants, as if my detailed explanation wasn’t enough, I already said I built it to max even with the Infernal maw (best available weapon to use with it from season pass), can’t you read?

A disappointment is the kindest description I can give it. I've had it for over a week and tried every combination of weapons except flame throwers and it was still poor. Back to a damage build Barque for me.

Demi cannon or culverin cannons allows you to use all ports on your ship
It only works with all deck weapons top deck will not allow the use amigo

The brig does now have the most cannons being 10 a side 2 front 4 rear using all deck cannons
the show in stat is wrong, even if culverin says 10, its in fact8 on both sides, you can test it, i was lured by it first then i realized when testing thats 8 only

To be honest, I am disappointed in the brig.
For me she is just worse than other ships, worse healer than barque, worse tank than snow and worse DPS than sam.
She looks cool tho..

I would say to only buy it if u REALLY wanted or wait for it to get cheaper cuz at least imo it doesn't worth its price, but that's up to you
I love it and many people also do but it is preferential and those who like the game like me have easily played it for way more than 300 hours amigo
the brig is just a sambuk 2.0 quite disappointed with it, it should of been a full on broadsider aswell not a minefield ship, weird decisions they make for this game

Give us man o' wars already, make it a tank and make it look like a mean, slow killing machine! The brig is a horrible ship that needs a lot more to be useful at tge moment. Even as a support ship it doesn't do much and if you're a solo player then its the worst ship you can have.
I think its a wasted effort, rushed and not much thought put into it, also the pronunciation for torsion is TOR-SHON not Torison, and its ART-IC-IFER, just a friendly heads up, these are british words btw lol
Completely agree he doesn’t know what he is doing. He’s literally reading the descriptions of the stuff as he’s going along. Just recorded it randomly with no thought and slapped it on RUclips with a bait thumbnail. He’s been told before numerous times as well about how the pronunciation of half of the stuff in this game and he just keeps saying things wrong. Only gets views as there are all of 2 main RUclipsrs covering this game right now and people are desparate for content and this unfortunately ain’t it, such a shame
I have lived in Spain from the age of 8 and moved back to England two years ago.
