She's so talented and humble at the same time! An adorable lady!
Mediocrity is awarded... It is so disappointing to see the memory of a huge artist be trashed like that. Renee has no singing talent! She speaks in a soft fake voice which Judy never had! All the music and interviews are available online now and anyone with a hearing voice can find out how the injustice that has been done with this cast. Judy Garland s family disapproves of this movie and so do I !

Great performance, but she sounded nothing, nothing like Judy Garland ;)
She sounded more like Bette midler in her suppose singing . It was horrible
Sadly and clearly not enough people have actually listened to the real Judy Garland, young and old, to see that Zellweger sounds nothing like Judy. Her voice is thin and whiny, as where Garland had a depth and strength that Zellweger just doesn't possess, even toward the end of her life. Why portray a legend's worst moments anyway, what for? Me and My Shadows is a much better movie, and has Judy Davis as the older Garland portrayed perfectly, and doesn't dare try to use her own singing voice. There's only one Judy Garland voice, and Zellweger doesn't come close. Compare Zellweger and the real Garland and there's no argument.

@@Verbsdescribeus Another injustice: Renee wins Best Actress playing the woman who should have won Best Actress in 1954! The only thing good about this movie is that it leads people to the real Judy Garland.

Check out Judy/life in her shadow- movie already covered so much of this ground 20 yrs ago. Daughter wrote it. Terrific performance. Obviously a legal/copyright issue re; not being able to use vocals, I'd guess

The best all round actress in the movies today. Very appropriate that she was selected for the role.
I understand that the decision was made to portray a Judy Garland voice that was in disrepair, but as Renee states herself, that voice is still 99% better than most. I think it was a mistake to not let Renee sing at her best. The affectation of her singing "poorly" was very distracting (especially in the opening night number), and took away from the top notch level of everything else that worked so well.
