@sleepy19131 If you watch the next video you can see the solution. It's usually dust that builds up on the lens. Clean the lens with rubbing alcohol (70%) or use a can of compressed air. Both methods work.
@sleepy19131 Sorry. I don't know what would cause that issue. I've never burned any disk with my mini. Apple optical drives are a hit or a miss these days. You might have a bad superdrive. You could get an external usb drive, replace the internal one yourself, or take your mini to an apple store for the techs to fix it.
The drive is starting to die which is common and not just on Mac's; have you tried a cleaning CD in it? Worth a try, but if not, any laptop internal SLOT LOADING DVD writer will work; you don't need an Apple one. Just check whether it has a SATA or EIDE interface as I am not sure which the early 09 uses. I put a pioneer DVDRW +/-R one in mine as it only had a combo drive. That noise is the laser trying to read the disc btw.
my mini mac keeps saying that the disk is full when its not but i perform the disk utility and it goes back to 78mb insted of 0 or zero do you know why it does this
The DVD/CD players in the MacMinis are of inferior quality. After a bit more than a year the player in my MacMini will not even let me insert any DVD! I can push it in about an inch, but no more!
@MisterTyTy Sounds like mechanical failure? Maybe the drive will have to be replaced.

@wickedexp Did you watch the next video after this one? Mine just had dust on the lens. Try to clean the drive out. It might work after that.
