Hi, I enjoyed watching this video as I'm having the same procedure done to my house however I've been unable to find part 1. Could you please repost it maybe or tag me in it?
Do you think think extension would of sunk , without piles ,cage and concrete bit over kill , I’ve seen houses built on nothing still standing 100 years later
No, I don't think it would sunk because my house doesn't have piling. It's only for the poor people I see new houses built by big companies without any piling
When the soil is unstable or incapable of bearing the load on its own, a piled foundation will create a much stronger support structure on which to extend your house. If the soil has much sand, clay or peat, this will be the most effective way of building out the foundation.

Hi there
Just curious, why did you have to pile ? Was this specified by the building control?
It's because there weren't any clay and ground wasn't good. The building inspector said I need piling
@@HannanMiah clay that’s an odd one usually clays shrinks and expands
Very nice video, may I ask how much does it cost and do you need a permit to move the manhole please? Thanks
You don't need permit you but do need building control and extension 5m × 3m about £25,000 to £27,000
