I need more Jay - Hailey moments. Jay was angry at first and took it on Hailey, but I think in a way, Hailey helped him to come into terms with the fact that Erin was never coming back. In a way, Jay "repaid" the favor and helped Hailey to move on. I just feel that their relationship is more natural than it ever was with Ruzek. And the two of them work so well together...Both of them are so well written: there is not only a strong romantic relationship developing there, but they are truly a golden team, and it is awsome how they trust each other and have each other's back; and this truly stands out from the rest of team and how they interact with the others during a case.
More than Erin not coming back, it was her encouraging him to deal with his PTSD. If it wasn't for Hailey Jay would still be haunted by his past but she helped in healing him, he's grown so much as a character. Hailey has been good for him, I look forward to the next season.

I love her character so much, I'm not surprised her character took a dark turn. You've seen how this job takes it toll on each character and seeing her CI be shot dead in front of her just pushed her over the edge. I am hoping to see Jay bring her back though, she's always been his sounding board and I want him to be hers.
I think she was trying to forget about the feelings that were starting to surface for jay, I think Adam was an excuse and when that didnt work she decided to accept that she does have feelings for jay and that she is in love with him, especially after he got shot
