I am so excited about this. I have 3 Nest cameras now. I've been wanting to switch my cameras to a HomeKit solution to go with my other HomeKit devices. It sounds like I now have a solution. Thanks for sharing this news with us.
Thanks JR. it's 2021 in the meantime. The motion detections is including "package" now. Nice. What I do find a pain is that only one person can watch the camera at the same time. And viewing the camera via 4G is painfull Can't get it to work.
looking for a home monitoring system for my elderly mother and want some idea of the cost of all the extras you have mentioned that are needed to set the circle 2 up. Best wishes Steve
Hi, thanks for this video review. One of the things that I would love your thoughts on, was about the timeliness of the motion detection and the lag to start recording. What I mean is that the Arlo cameras for example, take a few seconds after they detect motion to start recording, and in many cases you lose events. Also, could you comment on the usage of voice interactions? Can it be possible to use the speakers on the Circle 2 to talk to visitors/thieves through the Home App? Thanks!
How long is the delay between the actual activity going on in front of the camera and when you get notified and what you see on your phone? I understand from your great video that apple homekit allows features like smart detection of people, animals, and vehicles. I assume that analysis will cause a bit of a delay. I would consider unacceptable anything more than a 5 second delay between activity and what I see on the video feed on my phone. Also, this is not a wireless AC equipped device, so I was wondering how good the range is from a single (non-mesh) wifi router.
Hi JR. Thanks for the great video. I did a full conversion from Circle to HomeKit, upgrading the firmware as instructed. But now I regret it as I prefer the camera to be integrated to my Alexa system. Any idea how I revert back to the Circle app from HomeKit? I cannot seem to reset or revert the camera to the previous firmware, and my Circle app no longer detects it no matter what I do. It's as if HomeKit integration is a one way decision. They can't be that cruel.
I understand that from this review you can not change the video resolution at present in HomeKit secure video .-What is the actual resolution that HomeKit uses? thank you
If I change setting to stream when home “off” and stream when away “stream” will that apply to me and my wife who both have iPhones and share the same Apple HomeKit? We only want to be able to check cameras and see our dogs when both not home. Thanks
Active JR I thought as much - mine messed up throughout the update to HSV support software and is now bricked anyway. Thank you for the reply though buddy.
Jacob Henson yes, I have just noticed this on apples own website. They said 2 for the 200gb and 5 for the 2TB plan. Looks like it’s just 2 now for the 200gb

Been hoping for this for ages. But I’ll be waiting for the public release.
It should be soon

I have found between 5 and 15 seconds. For instance when I arrive home on the drive, it will alert me when I have reached the door.
Any update? Would love to hear more?
The only thing Im a little bummed about, it has to be the wired version for the homekit? :/
Why is that.
How long are the wires etc.
Its for stability of the connection
Can you use a old iPhone as a hub?
if you jailbreak it, but I have not tried
Thank you for this. Would you happen to know why all my recordings show black & the time and day of the week changes to Saturday?!? Today is Thursday
I have had issues with the days been out, but the correct date. Sounds like you need to remove all recordings and reset the camera

To convert it to homekit, you had to check the box that says it cannot be undone without contacting logitech.
Does the Home app handle the firmware updates? What happens if your WiFi network changes?
This is a good question. Need to look myself.
Nice video as always JR.
Thank you mate

I believe it’s 1080p
GREAT VIDEO MATE SUPER CLEAR EXPLANTATION -One question how much is the 200gb and 2tb plan with iCloud actually cost you per month?
Thanks for watching and the appreciation.
200gb is $2.99/£2.49 and the 2tb is $9.99/£6.99. You can also share the benefits across 6 people.
@@JRsReviews THANK YOU!
Great video, but the sound could be improved. What are you using to record?
Rode VideoMic pro on a boom
Great video! thanks and very detailed
Thank you
Was you referring to Chris young and his drama over the bricked devices?
I had seen a couple of comments, Chris Young? Didn't realise he had

If both iPhones are on different iCloud accounts connected to the same HomeKit instance then yes this will work
@@JRsReviews awesome. Thanks for the reply and for the video. Great video
Daniel Coward thanks for watching, it’s appreciated if it helped you
Home kit secure vs Logi circle app?? The warning scared me
What light strip do you use behind you?
Its the Philips Hue
What is the resolution of the video?
I have not determined yet, but I think its 720p. Even though the Logitech is 1080p
If I add this to Home Secure Video - can I still see my camera’s via Google Home Hub?
Unfortunately not
Active JR I thought as much - mine messed up throughout the update to HSV support software and is now bricked anyway. Thank you for the reply though buddy.
That’s a shame. Are you getting the support from Logitech over this
Are you having issues with speed?
Only in areas with poor wifi reception
What about Netatmo?
No word yet
Can a separate sensor, like a Hue Outdoor sensor set the camera to record in an automation?
Not via HomeKit it cant
Have you heard any rumours about the circle 3? Seeing stuff that the circle 2 is discontinued?
Just heard rumours, nothing else other than low stock at retailers and discounts galore
How many cameras can I add to my iCloud?
with the 200GB tariff 2 cameras, the 2tb 5 cameras
Active JR I could only use 1 camera with 200gb of iCloud. I had to update to the 2tb storage to add 2 cameras.
Jacob Henson yes, I have just noticed this on apples own website. They said 2 for the 200gb and 5 for the 2TB plan. Looks like it’s just 2 now for the 200gb
Active JR u mean it show 1 for 200gb don’t you ?
Jacob Henson yes
I have found it so slow to respond
It does depend on WiFi stability
People need to remember this is beta
very stable beta
Any updates you'd like to share?
Good to see accurate movement categorisation. That’s the one feature I’m really looking forward to.
Thanks for watching
