I’m from Finland, too. I don’t know what to say. I been watching their videos for some time now. They are country boys I understand. They are performing in heir farm work clothes. But without superstar image, they are performing in US, maybe other countries, too. They are very good with their instruments. They are good example, how to use what you have in your hands to get ahead of life. This encourage those, who are other ordinary folks, not to look what you have not, but to use and enjoy what you have. These guys are great. They are what they are. Let us all be what we are made for and entourage each others in these hard times.
@G Man Then how come they're never on the radio or any other mainstream music feed? How come when I bring them up NO ONE knows who the hell they are? The Foo Fighters version has over 2 million thumbs up. This one? 11,000. Huge disparity.
@@lbowsk there are things called niches, some genres of musics are just more in demand than others, its how its always worked, not just music "these days."
@@samshow8462 I'm 64 and have been listening to niche music since the 6th grade. Pretty will versed in that. I am allowed to have my opinion. There's a whole lot wrong with music these days. These guys are a wonderful exception.
Still among my favorite covers of any Foo Fighters song. I come back to watch/listen every few months. I still laugh at the host's words at the beginning. Erinomainen!
It is amazing. It is amazing that every song they decide to remake turns out to be better and more beautiful, I would say with all my respects to the original creators than the original songs. It is ART in its most beautiful meaning.
I absolutely love this band! So good! I sent The Trooper to my dad, who usually doesn’t listen to more than what I send him. But about a day or 2 later he texted me and said” dude I love Steve N Seagulls!” I thought he was just bullshiting me because he doesn’t usually like this type of music but then he said “ I love how the big guy always comes in last or is late” that’s when I knew he truly listened to a good amount of their songs. Now every time I play them he says “ thank you for introducing me to them!”
Its like a miniature modified 'Balalaika/Mandolin' in one instrument ...they are in Finland. The Finnish people are known for refining Russian made weapons (Sako, the world's most prestigious rifle manufacturer. Tikka bolt action rifles and the Military Valmet its a AK47 Masterpiece of Refinement & Craftsmanship) But anyway...Big Dude Shreds on that little 8 string mandolin . Banjo player too. He makes that banjo sound like a Washburne. LOL . .
They showed one angle where you could see the sore spots & calluses on his fingertips. He's a behemoth & likes to show up late but he definitely puts in the work.
Ich liebe wie Thielmann die Band einführt, köstlich. Und der Sound is einfach ein wunderschönes Geschenk für die tagesgemarterten Ohren des Alltagsradiohöhrers.
I can't stop listening this song... First I listened it here, than I bought it (all album), so I'm listening it on my mobile, but every day I come here 2-3 times... I can't help myself...
STEVEN N SEAGULLS are one of the best bands I have ever heard. Perfect as always! Make us proud. Maybe next "Queens Of The Stone Age - No One Knows" i am a million years old. i was bob dylan's first fan. this is the best music ever.
These are very multi talented Scandinavian boys. The mountain plays several instruments, everyone that sings has an awesome voice. I have all their cds after hearing just this and "ghost town" I had to get them. 10 years ago I wouldn't give these guys a second glance because I didn't have a wide eclectic taste in music then as I have now. Because of these guys I listen to a lot of bluegrass and country too. Keep up the awesome work fellas! Wish for a meet and greet **fingers crossed** that would be so awesome.
So underrated. What an intro or riff or whatever it is. What a take. I never heard the original song and won't ever listen to it again, it's faceless. But this - i have no words. Thank you so much, you help to bear with this effing life
It's incredible, I can listen to these guys over and over again... Proving once again: keep it simple, bring out of it what you genuinely have... like architecture.
I can't get enough of these dudes. Very talented. I bought all their CDs too. More Foo Fighters? More Iron Maiden? Even their own music kicks ass. Love 'em!!
Had the great pleasure to see these guys live in Cardiff just before Christmas and loved every minute. I even bought a Hermann hat (bango player) along with 2 of their CD's. If you get a chance to see them go for It, you won't be disappointed. I believe they're currently touring the USA. Looking forward to your next release guys x
Yo dudes, you have a permanent room in my memories and heart!! You made a singular version from an already singular song!! Congratulations for the hard work and talent you all have!! Hugs from Brazil!!! 🤗
I love the story telling part of the german guy in the beginning. If you speak german its even funnier because of the choice of words that guy in the cheap tuxedo is making :D
I was just in Tampere (eating mustamakkara and drinking cheap salmiakki), then visited some friends in Germany. I was searching for S&S songs to show them and this jewel popped up with the Deutsch intro... sehr lustig.
Weil ich bin eine Ami und ich lerne Deutsch, ich habe fast alles verstanden was der man gesagt hat. but anyway These fine young gentlemen from Finland are talented beyond belief. They have displayed our Folk Music what it used to be.
Just saw these guys up in Maine and they were freaking fantastic, very entertaining show, this was one of my faves. Super tight band, all awesome musicians
I have been checking on you guys for a couple years already and you guys only get better and better!!! Im a musician myself and you know "we" are very critical of bands that cover others, but when you guys do it in such a way that is fun, talented and addictive... All have its love for you guys!!! ps: quick question: can anyone tell me the name of the drummers square box he is playing with the sticks? Love that thing! Ricky
That whole drum setup is called loota percussion, I think (loota is a colloquial finnish word for box.) Google it, the guy who makes them has a website.
When I grow up I wanna be a Finnish metal-butchering hillbilly too! You guys... (what's the hillbilly for "rock" again? Ah, of course!) pebble. Cool! Great announcer too. Who said the Germans have no sense of humour?

They are brilliant live and really nice fella's to talk to
After discovering these guys I have reappraised every aspect of my life and the direction it was taking. I am now a better and happier human.
The ChaosEngine exactly this!
Good for YOU! Life is all about reassessing ourselves. Go forth and be happy.
You've just put the right words on what are my feelings about their music. Thanks and go on doing well
Me too......at the end of 2021

Narrator at the beginning for the win. That was awesome!

That drum part in the end was epic! With small means, he made it sound big. He's also a great singer.

I love this version! It's so good, Dave Grohl must have heard this by now and I'd bet a pony he'd love it too. Good job.

Gotta love that Behemoth playing this tiny-ass Mandoline looking all badass and serious
I think his neon tape was a reference to twenty one pilots' logo? Not sure...
yiftachgebel love it

That drummer is one hell of a rockstar, I wish I could jam with him.
Iam amazed !!! Everybody sings and sings very well. Great band. Very good musicians.

These guys put on a hell of a show and are one of the best live shows I've seen. Talented group of guys!
It's incredible, I can listen to these guys over and over again... Proving once again: keep it simple, bring out of it what you genuinely have... like architecture.
This was a brilliant version of a modern classic rock song. Very, very good job, lads !!
As a Foo Fighters fan, this is an awesome cover!!!
When the drummer sings, the whole band comes together.
Perfect as always! Make us proud. Maybe next "Queens Of The Stone Age - No One Knows"
Oh hell yeah! Thumbs up for this.
Let's add some more Grohl stuff: Nirvana. Like, hmm... Heart Shaped Box? Lithium would be great too.

Excellent rendition! You guys show how complex this song really is. It proves what a genius Dave Grohl is.

Because I don't, I had to use the subtitles to understand but, Damn...
That had me rollin'.
But Finland is not part of Skandinavia! what an ungerman mistake to make.
I was just in Tampere (eating mustamakkara and drinking cheap salmiakki), then visited some friends in Germany. I was searching for S&S songs to show them and this jewel popped up with the Deutsch intro... sehr lustig.
I cant stop playing this song. Nice cover.
