Hi there Chris!! Your tanks look beautiful. I had never thought of all the lighting requirements you must need for them and the Hygger lights look so much more efficient especially having the built in timer too. I love 11:11 too 🤣 interesting the moonlight encourages breeding 😊 ooh the show tank is fabulous and I like the way it lights up gradually. A very great product review 🐠
It looks like a good light and the built it timer is really nice on it! I don't care for the extra color modes but the white light it produces looks pretty good, awesome review!
Really enjoyed the review. These lights seem good quality for the price, the in-built timer is a really useful I think, and the colour options are cool. Money's tight so I can't replace equipment unles my existing one breaks, but this would definitley be on the list if I needed one!
I know that feeling Andy.. I don't replace anything until it no longer works after all my attempts to fix or repurpose .. Thanks for the comment and the support
Being a new pond/ aquarium enthusiast your review was quite informative and helpful. The built in timer feature will be much more convenient than having to add an external one, the folks at Hygger have definately done their homework on this product. Keep up the great work, look forward to your next video.
Thank you Mr Moore for the very kind and detailed comment. I am sure Hygger makes some great products that would help. I have left a link in my narrative for their products and if you should have any pond or aquarium questions don't hesitate in contacting me
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Stubbings: I use NICREW LED lights on most of my tanks. I haven’t found the cords too short, but I only put tanks next to outlets. I can see where, in a fish room, longer cords would be necessary. It would be lovely to have a RUclips Channel popular enough to get companies like Hygger to send me free products for review. My subscriptions fluctuate below 400, so I don’t expect any, such offers. My, newest NICREW light has the ramp-up and ramp-down option, but I don’t use it. I’d have to reset it, each time I unplug the light. Since I often do so, to shoot videos, I simply keep the light on a separate timer. But, I have a lamp, on a timer, which comes on before lights out and goes out, afterwards, to prevent startling the fish. The tank receives daylight before the tank light switches on. Thank you for sharing your, fine review of this, terrific product. All my best, Sincerely, E. J. Brinegar
Thanks E.J. As you can see I use 3 Nicrew. 2 of my cords are extremely short. They are very hard to work with On this model of Hygger the slow on and off work perfectly and I don't need to reset. Some lights work better.. it's nice to feel comfortable .
Hygger produces fine products at reasonable prices. I may use them, in future. I've seen other RUclipsrs share product reviews on items they received from Hygger. They really seem to understand the hobby.
My 15g fluval flex has the led RGBs, but currently I'm just using on my 55g the lights that came under the hood. They're just white LEDs. I bought some glass hoods that need to be cut about a 1/4inch on both sides to fit. I bought the hygger 957 lights but they're just sitting here until I cut the glass on the hoods. A friend of mine says under the right light, unsure what color light, my denison barbs yellow spots on their tails will glow, so I'm looking forward to trying out some new colors. My amazon frogbit is struggling a bit so I don't think the stock lights are strong enough anyway. Plus they're in a plant corral in the middle of the tank so there's no light directly above them. There's too much water surface movement to let them float freely about. I wish the hygger 957 had an app to control the lights like the fluval flex has the remote. I'm going to be setting up a new tank soon...either 32g or 45g, and I'm planning on keeping furcata rainbows and threadfin rainbows. What would be, in your opinion, a good centerpiece fish/es. I already have angelfish in my 55g so something else. I live in Florida with really hard water and ph 8.0
Hi there, my water is very hard too. As far as the light being the 957. It's a pretty good light, but I would probably recommend the 24 /7. I think that's probably my favorite simply because you have your choice of 8, 10, or 12 hours at whatever strength you want between. If I remember right 2550 75 and 100 100 or if you go the 24/7 it's about 80% at the maximum but it it goes on slowly throughout the day and you get your morning lights with the red. Then in the evening you get more of again a sunset and then finally it ends in a blue moonlight. There is a new light out there with a remote. It's available in the states but not in canada so you could get it. Your rainbows will be beautiful. I've had thread fins before. Very very small mouth so and they're really shy and skittish but I do like them. They are jumpers home man, but you've got a great lid for yours. I mean if you're just going to have a rainbow tank that would be pretty amazing and you might be able to get some small schooling Tetris in there that would be pretty nice. I'm kind of partial to the blood thin or the rummy nose tetra. Both of those are not aggressive and also have relatively small mouths and will accept the hard water that you have in Florida. I take it your it's the calcium in your water as is in ours but for various different reasons. Being that I'm really biased on Barb's, I am a huge fan of the Aurelius. Barb, they are just amazing and as a ray finned or a filament Barb They would probably be a really cool addition, especially give him the thread fin look. Then you've got the ref end or filament which would give you a different look and angle but a similar thread like finish just in a different spot obviously?
Hey, Chris! Great review! You really covered every aspect of this product. They picked the right guy for this. You did an awesome job. Anyone looking to purchase this light should checkout your review first. Thanks for being so honest! Great video! 💚
Very well done review! My favorite feature is the gradual on, I have some fish that could benefit from that. I like the yellowish color setting as well. Can you set the gradual on to be the yellow color and then the full on to be full spectrum or is it limited to one color setting for both? I share your disdain for short cords. I'd rather bundle them if they're too long than have to get an extension. Anyway, have a great weekend! 🙂👍
Mine too Tara.. I love that it doesn't scare the fish... So cool.. I don't mind that colour as well. I don't understand why those other lights have such short cords.. They don't make sense to me
@@marypaigeflynn4512 hi Mary 👋! If you have the time, I'd really appreciate it if you could check out my latest video and give me your thoughts on the scape-- if not, no worries. I hope you're doing well and have a great weekend!
I just got myself a Hygger 16 inch Aquarium Light a couple weeks ago, and it's growing my high tech plants really nicely, and although it's slim, it's light reaches the whole aquarium really nicely. Haven't tried any programming yet, but looks like a future project for myself. Awesome review Chris! Enjoy your Hygger Programmer and Light haha! 👍
hello I'm from Indonesia🇮🇩, 🐠very lucky to meet you, even though we are from different countries🌏. your video work is very beautiful, I always see it from every message that comes in, I really appreciate your work, hopefully we can meet again in the latest video, .❤🥰.🤗,
I just got this same LED light, 48” 72W, 2nd hand. (Saw on top a trash can when driving by) My question is have you had any issues with power supply? Noticed when I plugged up mine, majority of the white LEDs dimmed out when percentage is increased 💯. Read reviews stating the power cord with the inline amplifier needs to be replaced, averaging 12-18 month life span. Awesome honest review video Fired Up!!!
Hey Slim Tim. Thanks for the view and comment. I have not had that issue with this model. I believe they have changed the power cord now. I saw that they were selling new power cords but I think they have the issue rectified.. To be totally honest I prefer the 24/7 model to this one. I did a review comparing both.. Thanks again
Have had 2 3' and 2 4' of these running for a couple years now. So far running great, medium light requiring plants growing very well, no issues with the driver, not affected by spray or a couple quick accidental drops into the tank. My ONLY criticism: the sensor is annoyingly sensitive and sooo many times I've accidentally adjusted the light without seeming even to have even touched any of the buttons. Easy to set back, but annoying nonetheless.
It is very sensitive.. I have accidentally done the same a few times. Thanks so much for watching and making a comment. All the best , hope you drop back in
How did you get it to gradually dim on and off? I set the time like instructed and every morning it just turns on full blast. Then at night it just shuts off. I think I am not in the correct mode. I have it in 24hr mode.
Hi there Thanks so much for reaching out. To be totally honest one of my two lights like that does the same. It was working great then just a month ago started to turn on abruptly. The other works perfectly. I have heard of others having the same issue It should not matter if you use the am pm setting or the 24hr setting but you can try. You can always clear it and try to refresh it. I prefer their 24/7 light. It slowly comes on throughout the day then goes through a moon phase at night .
What no app and no Siri? 🤣🤣🤣 lol love how simple and easy that is. Hard to find these days. Looks very durable too. It should have a ‘love’ mode for breeding 😂😂😂

Thanks buddy
Hey Chris, great product review. These lights seem pretty great for the price point. I like the LCD screen and functionality of the timer and light intensity. Thanks for sharing the good info! Take care! 🍻
Ty they are a great light for the price. Love the timer
The aquarium looks amazing. It's great to see a product that is budget friendly and works well. We will definitely incorporate Hygger lights into our tanks. Keep the videos coming! Great job
Ty Laura.. I agree.
Great review and video stubber, thanks for sharing. I like hygger products the air pumps I have are good quality and never given me any problems, I'm definitely going to have to look into these lights. 👍
Thanks for your comment.
I have never tried their pumps but sure would give it a go.
I do think they have superior product for the price
🇮🇪 very good information 👌 good video sharing have a nice weekend
Ty John
Hi there Chris!! Your tanks look beautiful. I had never thought of all the lighting requirements you must need for them and the Hygger lights look so much more efficient especially having the built in timer too. I love 11:11 too 🤣 interesting the moonlight encourages breeding 😊 ooh the show tank is fabulous and I like the way it lights up gradually. A very great product review 🐠
Ty my friend..
Bahaha and I thought I was the bad one... Figures you would catch that.
I love how it is set up
It looks like a good light and the built it timer is really nice on it! I don't care for the extra color modes but the white light it produces looks pretty good, awesome review!
Thanks so much Greg.
I know you know your stuff, so I really appreciate your honest comments
🥰
@@stubbsaquatics6080 Your welcome Chris!
This makes me want a tank of my own !
You should
Really enjoyed the review.
Great review bro! Nice little air pump. Looks can be deceiving. Small but powerful. I would absolutely buy it if i needed it.
Thanks my friend.
Always great to hear from you and get your encouragement. It is small but pretty impressive
Nice review. Looks like bang for the bucks. 😀👍
Thanks buddy.. I appreciate your support
I have left a link in my narrative for their products and if you should have any pond or aquarium questions don't hesitate in contacting me
Dude this light is nice! When I was in the hobby I also went cheap over quality. I’ve never had lighting this advanced. Great honest review Chris.
I love the light.
I wish I had more of them...
They are amazing.
Ty for the great comment and the support
very neat review my friend and brotha, irie from Jamaica
Ty Raleigh I appreciate that my friend
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Stubbings:
I use NICREW LED lights on most of my tanks.
All my best,
Sincerely,
E. J. Brinegar
Thanks E.J.
As you can see I use 3 Nicrew. 2 of my cords are extremely short. They are very hard to work with
On this model of Hygger the slow on and off work perfectly and I don't need to reset.
Some lights work better.. it's nice to feel comfortable .
Hygger produces fine products at reasonable prices. I may use them, in future. I've seen other RUclipsrs share product reviews on items they received from Hygger. They really seem to understand the hobby.
Great review ! The Hygger light seems to be a great product for fish enthusiasts who own fish that are sensitive to an immediate light source.
So true... Great point
Ty my friend. I do appreciate your kind comment.
This light is really that good.
Keep up your great videos
Very well done review! My favorite feature is the gradual on, I have some fish that could benefit from that. I like the yellowish color setting as well. Can you set the gradual on to be the yellow color and then the full on to be full spectrum or is it limited to one color setting for both?
I share your disdain for short cords. I'd rather bundle them if they're too long than have to get an extension.
Anyway, have a great weekend! 🙂👍
🥰♥️
Well thanks so much.. you rock my young friend.
I hope to add more over time..
Hi Chris top video my friend keep up the great work 👍
Ty buddy... See you at your bar...👍🇬🇧🍺
hello I'm from Indonesia🇮🇩, 🐠very lucky to meet you, even though we are from different countries🌏. your video work is very beautiful, I always see it from every message that comes in, I really appreciate your work, hopefully we can meet again in the latest video, .❤🥰.🤗,
Thanks my Indonesian friend ..
I just got this same LED light, 48” 72W, 2nd hand. (Saw on top a trash can when driving by)
My question is have you had any issues with power supply?
All the best , hope you drop back in
Great video I’ll add you to my subscribed channels enjoy your relaxed attitude great review
Awww
Thanks so very much. I sure do appreciate the support and kindness. Means a lot
How did you get it to gradually dim on and off? I set the time like instructed and every morning it just turns on full blast. Then at night it just shuts off.
I think I am not in the correct mode. I have it in 24hr mode.
Hi there
Thanks so much for reaching out.
To be totally honest one of my two lights like that does the same. It was working great then just a month ago started to turn on abruptly. The other works perfectly.
I have heard of others having the same issue
It should not matter if you use the am pm setting or the 24hr setting but you can try.
You can always clear it and try to refresh it.
I prefer their 24/7 light. It slowly comes on throughout the day then goes through a moon phase at night .
I love how low profile it is! I have dropped a non waterproof light into my tank before…. Bad news!
Yes this one can fall in and be all good
What no app and no Siri? 🤣🤣🤣 lol love how simple and easy that is. Hard to find these days. Looks very durable too. It should have a ‘love’ mode for breeding 😂😂😂
Bahaha.. Thanks Sid.
I like how it works.. great product
Not too bad. Thanks! 🙂👍
