I've seen Revelations once, years ago. It remains one of the most memorable dance performances I have ever seen. It's wonderful to see excerpts available on RUclips.
❤The first time I saw this piece (Revelations) I was 15years old now I’m 56 years old and this is still my favorite dance ❤I enjoy all the dances like (Free) but Wade in the water is my favorite 🤗
I remember learning/performing the first few minutes for an elective class 20 years ago. White outfits, umbrella, and all. What a wonderful experience that will never be forgotten!

One of the best dance numbers ever - fabulous!
First watched this being performed in 1969/1970. Fantastic then, Fantastic now.
Saw them in Honolulu in the early 89s. Every night of the show. Still makes my heart sing. Brilliant.

What’s the name of this version? There’s a very similar almost identical version with a woman singing instead
This is the original song. Jamison changed it when she was director. I like this one better.

Are. You. Mad
I apologize I think the correct name for that dance was Cry
No. Cry was a completely different dance with different music. Google Judith Jamison's name as she was the first to perform Cry.
It's great to hear the original song. Don't like the new one.
