Yes on this series! I've got out of the habit of wearing makeup daily so I need help to get back to my faves: bold lip, dark lip, bold blush. Basically I like to be bold, but I don't want to look like a clown.
Great Tips!! I COMPLETELY understand the need for neutrals. A time and a place for everything! Personally, I am frustrated with brands such as Urban Decay, Lime Crime that use to be fun and edgy. They have become just like all the other brands who release and re-release the same color stories. A change in packaging, tweak the formula, (sometimes fixing something that was not broke), then PRESTO.."new and improved" pallette." Along with the "NEW", they add a high price. Your tips are helpful because so many great things can be done with color!
Love your shorter 'do, and your eyes always look fantastic! I think the Pat McGrath shadows and anything eggplant/purple/plum are your most lovely looks.
This was a fun video! I never wore bright color when I was younger because I never wanted to draw attention in anyway to myself. But since I hit my thirties and kids took over everything else in my life color has become a staple in my look, it gives me fun and individual joy in my looks. Thanks for the tips on how to integrate color even further😊
I’ve gotten to be the same way! I’ve gotten more confident in wearing what I want because who cares what other people think of my bright makeup! 😉 I do it for me :)
Thank you! I used to use a lot of color but strayed away to mostly neutrals. Now I feel like I'm stuck in a rut. Your tips are great! Also, can you do a video dedicated to the Pantone color of the year (living coral)? Maybe with eyeshadow and lipstick suggestion?
THANK YOU! I have a ton of beautiful eyeshadow pallets with every color under the sun. However, I ALWAYS only stick with the neutral browns and golden tones. I'm excited to try something more colorful tomorrow! You're the best xoxo
I appreciate your tips, particularly about the outer corner. I always think a look like that is really pretty when I see it. I've found that using a dark shimmer along the lower lashline /waterline works surprisingly well as an eyeliner. I don't have much issue with it not lasting long enough either.
I loved this video and I love the series idea. I am not afraid of most makeup; however, I live in a rural area where wearing bold makeup usually attracts unwanted attention. I loved getting some ideas for how I can wear the makeup I love in a subtler way. Thanks!
Great topic! Yes please, more specialized/ how to wear topics! Would you consider discussing how to wear pastel (but not neutral) eyeshadow (pale yellow, green, blue, lilac)? I haven't figured that out yet.For bold/strong colors, I tend to keep my browbone and crease neutral colored and use bolder colors on the moveable lid or as eyeliner for a small pop of color. That's why I like the recent trend of packaging a few bold eyeshadows with more neutral shadows in one palette, so I don't have to open and close several palettes to get a complete look.I like to wet an eyeliner brush and dip it into my more bold colored eyeshadows for a wide variety of bold eyeliner looks. I might have to try using a bold color in the corner of my eye.
Bailey I found this video so informative and it's so true what you say about bright colours - we all espire to wear them but never do. Your tips were excellent & I would love to know how to wear all those coloured highlighters. 💕💕
Love this! To get a colorful liner in a shade I might not own, I’ll do gel black first then layer a shadow with a wet liner brush over it. I did that with the dark emerald from the JH palette and loved the look.
Thanks for this vlog, Bailey! I would love to see more videos about topics like bright or dark lipsticks and also lipsticks that are different colors (blue, green, purple, black).
This video is awesome. So helpful to someone, probably most of us,who have a million palettes that we dont fully use. Would love to see one on contouring and blush techniques. I never know how much is too kuch blush...then im a clown.😂
bright blush! I had an old nars in a deep brick red that sat in my drawer until i realized (used with bronzer)makes a unbelievably good fake tan. blush doesnt get much love, but it can really make a hug difference, quick easy with mascara and lip stain out the door
Hi Bailey! Just found you and really appreciate this video. You are wonderful to watch and offer many ideas and tips that are new to me. I’m 61 and have hooded eyes, but so tired of matte neutrals! I wear a lot of black and grey so the possibility of some teal, coral, or violet sounds great! I wear glasses so sometimes the neutrals are lost on me. Thank you again Bailey!
Wow, I feel like this video was made for me. Lol:) I’m pretty much a minimalist when it comes to makeup and love my neutrals/soft looks. I have, however, been wanting to incorporate more color. Wearing duochrome shadows is something I’ve been doing more of (love Colourpop’s). I’ve also used some more colorful eyeliners. That reverse flick is awesome. Definitely going to try it out, especially since I never wear a cat eye/tradition flick (I know...boring😩). The outer corner suggestion is fabulous! I’ll be trying that as well. So yes, thanks so much for the tips. I would love to see more videos like this. Have a lovely evening, chickadee🍃🌸.
I’m strictly a neutral girl but have so many pallets with color I thought I’d never use- I’m going to try some of your tips, thank you for sharing! It’s going to be a bit scary- but I’m ready to step out of my comfort zone. Just hope I’m not too “old” to pull it off. (Early 40’s).
I’m in my 40s too and just bought a multi chrome pigment! I won’t use it all over my eyes but I’d like to gets techniques on how to use. I am taking more “chances “ with colour in my 40s than I ever did in my 20-30s!
SUPER helpful video! I love colorful shadow and i love playing around with it at home but rarely feel comfortable enough to wear them out of my house. Usually it's because the looks I do tend to be way over the top and/or a hot mess because I just keep adding and adding stuff randomly cause I have no idea what I'm trying to do. So in the end I feel like I end up with something I feel absolutely ridiculous in.
Ooooh I have been there! I’ll never forget the first time I got one of those massive 100 pan palettes, and went straight for the bright shadows. My college roommate at the time told me to stick with my major 😂 It just takes practice, baby steps, and getting comfortable with seeing yourself in more color :)
Colorful eyeshadow for sure - it is hard for me to be comfortable wearing - and red lipstick. I love seeing it on other people though. Especially you in Lisa Eldridge’s velvet ❤️💄
what are some tips to make your colourful eyeshadows actually stand out or visible when taking pictures vs on your eyes in person?..do i make sense or not really?..for example pink
Did you see Karima's underliner video recently? It was a good one. Also, speaking of color, Viseart is releasing a larger purple palette and I"m doomed.
Here’s one you may not be able to help with. Wearing bright lips and dark lips, especially when they are asymmetrical left/right. This is how my lips are aging and I don’t like the idea of being doomed to nudes unless I have to. Right now I’m cheating with lipliner, but I think it looks obvious when I do it with anything but my natural lip shade. Love your shadow hints and plan to try them.
I'd love to see a series like that! Bright blushes, red lipsticks, colorful eye liner, etc!!
Yes on this series! I've got out of the habit of wearing makeup daily so I need help to get back to my faves: bold lip, dark lip, bold blush. Basically I like to be bold, but I don't want to look like a clown.
Yes make this a series please!!! Can you do the colorful highlighter one too?
I’ve actually already done it! Tap the “i” in the right hand corner of the vid to find it :)
I have so many videos on bright, vibrant coloured make up, would definitely be worth a 👀💜

I just started dabbling in colorful shadows...I think I’ve been so scared to look like someone stuck in the 80’s 🤣 Great Video!
I loved this video and I love the series idea. I am not afraid of most makeup; however, I live in a rural area where wearing bold makeup usually attracts unwanted attention. I loved getting some ideas for how I can wear the makeup I love in a subtler way. Thanks!

Please make this a series! Also, what did you use to create the look you’re wearing for the majority of the video (while speaking)?
Really appreciate this video! I need to do this more often! It would be nice to have a change of pace!

These are great ideas. I need the opposite: how to stop wearing colorful eyeshadow because it's my favorite 😂

I hope this video helped! Thanks so much for watching :)
I'm not on Instagram . If there is a colorful highlighter technique I'd like to see a RUclips video on it.
Tap the “i” in the upper right hand corner - I linked it there :)
Sounds good. I’m 53, but I’d still like to look brighter. Lol
I say wear what you want! As long as you’re happy and confident :)
🙋Yes, I admit I am afraid.
Please make one for shimmery bronzers. I am a complete stranger as to how to wear them.
