Inspirational and motivational is how Educating Yorkshire star Musharaf Asghar is described when he delivers his keynote speeches. Almost a decade ago Mushy, who is now 26 won viewers’ hearts as a student with a stammer on the hit Channel 4 programme. He was in year 11 when the blockbuster show was filmed and has reflected on his life since leaving school.

I remember when Educating Yorkshire when it first came out and when I saw the episode based around Musheraf and Mr. Burton, I instantly knew he [Musharaf] would overcome his stutter and knew that Mr. Burton would continue to be a positive influence on him!
I'm so happy for Musheraf and how far he's come!

Ah I thought they'd have had Mr Burton in the studio, I wanted to see them hug! Legends though the both of them. I've struggled with my speech at times and seeing Mushi be so open about it and make such progress is inspiring.
