Idk why people are still so high on the Golden Knights they were a wild card team last year, and they got a little worse in the offseason they lost a 40 goal scorer in Marchessault and didn't replace him
What i dont like about Frank Seravalli is that he comes to his conclusions, then he acts like a crabby know it all baby and a bitter smart ass if you don't agree, and then he'll twist everything in his favor including truths lol. The guy does know hockey I'll give him that but he just needs to dial it down and not always be so argumentative.
39:38 sure, support your family. You owe them that much. But I wouldn't want to be dragged down by a coworker, even if it's because of an addiction. I don't owe them a million chances.
Frank is wrong on Nichushkin -- you cannot get fired by an employer for an addiction issue; if you do, you are protected and can sue the employer. Daily Faceoff, you need to issue a retraction.
I think Seravelli grossly under estimates Adam Foote and Sergei Gonchar's ability to teach guys like Forbort and DeHarnais how to play the way. They will both be better by the end of the season. Tyler Myers is the proof.
Kings fan but also their biggest critic. I actually like the team this year. They are younger and looks like more exciting. Let's see if that equals success. I say, 3rd in the div.
This is a strange one. Both are usually well informed about teams in the West. Totally glossing over the Oil losing 3 of their top 6 D and hoping journeymen and a small sample size bet will equal a division title and somehow a Cup worthy Defense. Odd they spent minutes disparaging the Canucks D and wondering where it ranks in the league. Where do you have the Oil? Great top pairing, then Nurse, reclamations and Kulak. If Nurse isn't significantly better that's not something easily fixed midyear. Also weird to briefly mention Debrusk when they also added a lot of depth with Sprong, Heinen and Sherwood. I think the regression storyline with Vancouver will play out somewhat but the added pieces will offset any losses. Still see the two Canadian teams vying for 1-2 it's just odd people act like the Oil are the same Finals team plus two wingers and the Canucks are diminished irreparably by losing the two players to Boston but adding a ton of Wing Depth and having a comparable/slight downgrade on D from where they started last season.
key thing is what does regression look like for canucks.. is a 5 points enough to even consider a true regression.. or is that within the range where you can say eh. close enough to 109?
@Mellowyellow8888 That's the thing. It's hard to quantify. They're a good defensive team. Their stars likely won't shoot 17%+ again. But do the additions deepening their forward ranks offset that? Maybe. Just great Hockey's back.
@@Engra_ my problem with quoting the high shooting %.. is that last season there were more than a handful of anomalous games where for example you saw 8-1 against oilers, 10-1 against SJ, 7-4..etc.. like what does that % look like without those handful of outlier games.. if i told you it was like 15% instead.. would you even say hey its not that crazy at that point.. like if i told you the corrected value of 15 without the outlier games and you say its going to drop to 13-14%.. thats not really that big of a drop off..
This host is right that Vegas will finish 3rd but the Canucks will win the division again and they'll get the goaltending both equal to and better than Edmonton throughout season.
You've arguably overrated Vegas and Edmonton and underrated Vancouver. Vegas is a tire fire waiting to happen. Edmonton is weak on the back end and no Frank, they are not eminently capable of reeling off all those wins again. Vancouver have questions going into the season, but a second full season under Tocchet and one or two moves at the deadline and this team is right back in it at playoff time. Any of one of a healthy Demko, a healthy Boeser and a high functioning Pettersson gets the job done in a game 7 with the Oil. Let alone all three. Should be a fun season ahead.
Vancouver started regressing in the second half of the season. Culminating in so many players becoming ghosts in playoffs. Meanwhile Edmonton was fire and they added two of the best scorers in the league
@@kalenluck You forgot that Edmonton has definitely gotten weaker on the backend and the goaltending is still suspect especially with that defence as of right now.
@@alfernken Ceci was garbage, Vancouver just overpaid for a guy Edmonton sat in the playoff finals. Edmonton is fine. Can list two big peices they ever replaced meanwhile Edmonton added two of the best scorers in the league

Canucks win the division. Oilers second. Vegas out of the playoffs.
Vancouver has easyily regressed, Silvos and Demko are questionable Especially Demko
I don't know about that. They're so much deeper up front than they were last year.
Think the drop in defense isnt going to be to bad since they play such a strong system under RT @matthewjudge3763
