You know, as a human being from thamizhnadu having great love, romance and pride about my thamizh, how happy I feel when many malayalis say Thamizh version sounds sweeter and great than Malayalam version. But my beloved brothers and sisters from Kerela, on the contrary I liked the Malayalam version better than thamizh. This is a very soft and breezy romantic song and it feels like soft feathers poured over us. In Thamizh we have 3 sets of consonants, vallinam - harsh/strong sounds, mellinam - soft consonants, idaiyinam - the in between consonants. In Malayalam in general I used to hear more of mellinam sounds in the language. With respect to this specific song, in Malayalam the words are mostly giving the mellinam (soft) sounds than the Thamizh words. Also I feel the voice of Vijay Yesudas is much perfect in Malayalam than in Thamizh.
Also I feel very happy seeing Malayalam cinema giving great movies, which in general gives much importance to audio visual elements than simple heroism sort of things, when our own thamizh cinema is somewhat trapped in some bad ideas like stupid heroism, violence centric, silly contents. Afterall my beloved brothers and sisters we are like… ori kallu theeraatha iravundallo.. koode pirakkathe pirannavar thunaiyundallo ❤️
