Great video! I have an old 038 so I will be watching to see how this turns out.

It's not the saw I have. I have the one with the flip caps on oil and fuel, the side chain tensioner and the decompression button.
If I had to I could likely clean up some of the cylinder ports, but not a real port job. I saw a fix for the choke flap in the air filter if it causes and issue and I saw your fix on the chain tensioner to get rid of what limits the how far it will move to tighten the chain. I'm guessing I better take off the starter assembly to check and correct any imperfections that might destroy the pull cord.
I'm on a limited income so I can't just replace parts with OEM parts, even if I could find them right now. Though I wish I could.
Thank you very much for the link to this video. It will likely be a big help even though the saw isn't exactly like mine. 😎👍

I have two of the first generations the neo tech 872. The first one I got had issues with the chain adjuster. The second one they had fixed the problem

Nice teardown, curious to see what is next for it. Never seen an 038 clone. Or 038 in general. Black stuff could be blowby from the test fire.

That’s what I was thinking as this was straight from the factory. This model is certainly my favorite clone by far. Now if they just get the cylinders down better a guy could have a really good 72cc machine for cheap.

Nice teardown vid! Very surprised to see an OEM carb and filter. The Neotec 066 clone I did had the paint flaking off/chipping in the crankcase.

Overall, what is your general opinion on this saw? Apart from the head and piston. I would love to see a follow up once you have cleaned those two items up. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Thanks for letting us see it. Salute for that.
I have NO interest in buying any of these knock offs. I understand the attraction for some.
I havent seen/heard anything like this on a echo nor Husq in the cyl. get what ya pay for remains in effect.

I enjoyed the teardown it's got to be done so might as well film it,with that cylinder that bad makes me wonder if the plating has any chance of holding up even for home owner use you just never know I have put new pistons on cylinders so worn that you could see through the plating and thay worked for years with a good gas mix I sure enjoy your channel
