  • The Cleveland Guardians took on a struggling toronto blue jays team coming into this series 20 games over .500 off a loss to the cincinnati reds, the guardians have rarely lost 2 games in a row this season and this is a big part of why they have been so successful, and different guys have been stepping up every night. So in this video i'm gonna recap the win over the toronto blue jays, talk about what players played a big part in the W, and talk about trade rumors a little bit because the shortstop on the opposing team has been linked to the guards for quite some time now. But many people just don't see it happening.

I don't think they need Bichette. I would rather see them trade for another starter or maybe a catcher who can hit. I think Hedges and Bo are great defensive catchers but both of them are almost guaranteed outs at this point. Fry is too valuable as a utility guy to be a full time catcher. Bo is my favorite Guard and I am just waiting for him to get hot, so I may be way off base on this one. Another quality win though. Go Guards!

i agree with this a lot but i would really like Bo. but we need a SP middle of the road

Agree but also disagree I just don’t wana give up the framing and defense at catcher for lack luster framing and defense for an okay bat he would hafto be good

I think you are right. They do need a hitting catcher.

I’d prefer a potential #2 starter, won’t splurge for an ace, but also don’t need just another arm for a starter. Need to keep in min possibility of postseason

They need an OF bat with some pop and a SP3/SP4. Other than that I think the young guys should be allowed to contribute like they are now

I really wish we could let it play out to see if the infield situation would work as is. However, I don't think Arias r rocio are good enough offensively to compete with the best teams in baseballs pitching

The Guardians as a team are much greater than its individual parts. Not just a little better either. The team is on another level. They are dominant.
The mantra in MLB has always been the team with the best players wins. The Guardians say bulls... The team with the best organization wins.
For over 20 years Cleveland has deeply analyzed, strategized, and implemented a baseball system that is 2nd to none in MLB.
Their players, except Jose (who is locked up), and Clase, are not top tier free agents. Relievers, even great Closers, don't get paid as well as Starters.
Their free agents are 2nd or even 3rd tier. But they don't have any free agents -- except Bieber!
    Exactly my point.
If all goes as planned, for the next 5 years their players are "forced" to play for 1 of the top 5 teams in baseball.
When they go into the free agent market, the buyers will be underwhelmed by their capabilities. If they want more money, they need to take a step down and go to a mediocre team.
Even Bieber is no longer a top tier free agent. Most likely he will sign a 1-year contract to boost his value.
Mercenaries don't play well on this team. It is a spiritual thing. The Cleveland Guardians organization demands their players treat baseball as a game, not a business. Any player who wants more money -- free market value -- the Guardians will genuinely wish him well and hope he is successful -- they will even help the player advance his career -- but that player doesn't fit with this team.
A World Series victory is on the table with or without bringing on a free agent. The right free agent at the right price is a possibility, but not a necessity.

Baseball is such a CRAZY game. Logan Allen is on pace to lead the team in wins with a 5.30 ERA. Meanwhile Tristan cant buy a win.

I'm going to say this. I didn't expect the Guardians to be first place okay. I knew we were going to be good but I didn't know we're going to be this good I'll take it. Go Guards and like Oakland A's fans said back in 2014 whenever Stephen Vogt was playing there I quote these fans. I believe in Stephen Vogt

As a life long fan of this team, i dont think the Bichette deal will happen. What we need is a SP that can reliably go 6 deep. We are going to gas our pen. I saw an article saying Severino might be a good get, however, with Toronto asking season ticket holders to pay up for next years tickets 8 days before the trade deadline, i think they will be selling some big names. Yusei Kikuchi is the guy i am willing to say is worth talking to over Bichette.
