- A documentary of our first bird and photography trip to Ecuador in May 2023 visiting San Jorge EcoLodges at Quito, Tandayapa and Milpe.Also day trips to Yanacocha Reserve and Antisana NP .On this short trip we videoed 34 hummingbirds, 17 tanagers, barbets, toucans, parrots, Cock of the Rock and raptors including Plumbeous Hawk and Andean Condor.

Loved your video. I was also in Ecuador in May but on a general tour not a birding holiday so you showed me all the birds I missed. I saw a few of the same ones. Hope to go back again someday, a wonderful country, but maybe not the best roads!

What camera lenses focal ranges did you use and which would you recommend at each place?
1:10 I’m from Ecuador and have a really hard time telling the difference between an eared dove and an Ecuadorian ground dove. Any pointers? They look so similar to me 😫
