The first carpal bone gets ossification center is the capitate which appear at 2nd to 4th month of age not scaphoid !! The last carpal bone gets ossification center is the psiform which appear at 12th year of age not at the 8th year of age !!

helpful lecture doctor, thank you i have some questions please, should any deviation from the 50th percentile be considered as an abnormal growth ?! and if no why did you consider it abnormal in the weight to length min 37:25 ,also what if the child is already having an abnormal growth that is not due to the nutritional state, how could we incriminate nutrition or evaluate its severity without previous multiple readings, is it the history and clinical picture of acute malnutrition that lead us to that determination ?
