My Dads Favorite songs were these types of early 80s and 90s music, even though he wasn’t an English speaker he jammed to the beat , the lyrics he always tried to sing along he would sing a few parts he would be able to pronounce, he taught me so many good things. @@canadude6401 YES!!! so would I! 🏝️ if it were both of us - we might need to fight for it 😆 what I remember about the tape is I played it so many times that it had a magnetic drop out in Ceremony where you stopped the tape after True Faith on the opposite side 😑 While my ears ended up kinda adapting to it - I won't forget the first time I put the CD in my new Discman 🤯 and Disc 2! that pulled out the B sides monster in me - 1963 is such a gem! 💎 I've since made an mp3 anthology CD I now permanently keep in my car in case all hell breaks loose & I need my NO fix off the grid - all their studio albums & a few bootlegs! 💿 (all of which I am proud to say I legitimately own 😊) I dream of visiting Manchester! 🇬🇧

Their use of synthesizers helped to release a whole new evolution in modern music, that's even felt today. New-Wave 🌊music became the Second British Invasion and "Blue Monday" set the stage for so many other bands.

It doesn't matter where; when I mix this into a DJ set, as soon as the kick comes in, everyone goes crazy. It was a dancefloor filler in 1989 and it still is today.
Compared to modern day visuals this was definitely the cradle of the video clip 😁👍🏻

Je m'en souviens très bien car à la ducasse, il y avait des énormes enceintes sur le manège " avalanche " et on entendait bien la basse à fond. C'était puissant et agréable à écouter. En effet, cette musique nous l'écoutions sur un petit radio cassette à la radio. Ce n'était pas la même chose. D'ailleurs, je me demande si ce n'est pas la première fois que je l'ai entendu là-bas. C'était il y a 44 ans ! Oh là là ! Que les années passent vite mais quelle chance d'avoir connu et grandi dans les années 70 et 80. Cette époque nous manque. Nous vivions à la campagne sur un petit revenu, jamais de vacances mais nous étions si heureux avec nos parents bienveillants. J'imagine les pauvres à supporter nos goûts musicaux. Ils n'aimaient pas les " b o u m. B ou m " de la basse mais ils nous laissaient écouter nos musiques. Aujourd'hui, c'est exactement la même chose pour nos enfants. XXTENTATION ou autres. On leur demande de fermer leurs portes de chambres ou de la salle de bain. :-)))))))
