I know you went for pure paladin because of how strong Countess is, but I've tried a similar deck and I've found that Cover Artist is amazing for a more traditional Dude Paladin. You can double or even triple up the Stewart"s buff or even copy Warhorse Trainer
I've seen the invisible recruits bug happening to other token minions (tamsin hero imps and DH 1/1s with rush) so I suppose blizzard f*cked up something with all of these small minions that can be only summoned. Edit: Usually if you close and open hearthstone again the bug should resolve by itself.

While suffering Twist for the event packs, I played some warlock and Tamsin's hero powered imps would often be invisible, but still take up board space. I can feel Chump on the pain of glitched board fillers. Neat deck when you don't get silenced which has fallen out of favor lately.
"this is not the best deck I've played this expansion but it is certainly a deck" so what I'm getting from this is if I have the Pure Paladin sitting around, it's big funny, but I definitely shouldn't craft anything for it that isn't a Paladin staple anyway?

Hey chump, restarting the game will most likely get rid of the visual bugs and you can still connect back to the game. We might miss your opponents turn but at least your gameplay isn't disturbed by the spaghetti code of this small indie developer

The minion needs to stay alive, if it dies, the effect goes away, same with murloc warleader for example
Curse healing is a static effect dependant on the minion actually sticking. It was off the board so no healing
Zakuul’s healing isn’t a battlecry, his healing only applies while he is still on the battlefield. Only the singular curse he gives is a battlecry
Once zaquul is off the board, its text no longer applies
