Yes we have unfortunately and the mosquitos are bad. The Hillsborough river runs through the park and there are a lot of swampy areas that hold rain during the rainy season which becomes a perfect breeding area for mosquitos. The fall and winter are much better. Also some of the campsites fill with water during heavy rains. If you can get there just before the rains start or if the rainy season gets delayed until the end of April or may you are in much better shape.Hope this helps. My wife was dead against camping now it’s the only way that she wants to travel. It’s like your own hotel on wheels lol. Welcome to the RV world you will experience some amazing adventures that can’t be put into words. And it is so much cheaper than getting a hotel, rental car etc.
Yeah, that is the best time to go here to. Right now, with all of the rain the trails and everything are really muddy. And the mosquitoes are really bad this time of year also. It's much nicer in the fall and winter. Thanks for the comment its greatly appreciated also.
