He doesn't want us to become mindless basement dwelling slaves who have been drugged and forced into worshipping him, he wants us to experience life and live it to the fullest, with him by our side. He'll go absolutely hammo on our enemies and may secretly sniff our clothes and make out with pictures of us when we're not looking, but ultimately, he's not going to murder our friends and family just so he'll be the only guy in our lives. Unless that's what we want. And if he thinks some other guy is getting a little too close to us, he'll settle it by making it clear to the other guy that we're HIS, like giving him death glares or even challenging him to a fair fight, rather than, like, straight up murdering him, especially if he knows we'd be really upset if he did any serious damage. He may get possessive but he'll never take it out on us, especially not by emotionally manipulating or physically hurting us. As said, he wants us to be happy with him.
