"why is my limbic system so attracted to biryani?" OH MY GOD! Literally me thinking this while watching the episode while eating biryani 😂 im gonna make this a poster in my room in the hopes that my brain slightly tilts to its pfc when im about to order tomorrow.
What an important topic. One of the most important podcasts. Our choices, physiology, psychology, decision making and anger. What an insight take a pause, write your feelings. I feel anger envious jealous frustrated with this person. You see it vanish right away. The road rage, if you ever had, take a pause and see what it can lead to Be conscious of your Actions and it ll be all fine. Hacking your brain to have it discipline. If want it to be your space not master. It’s taking all important decisions and you are driven by it. How many times we feel guilty whe we made wrong choices. Thanks Tanmay
Loved this episode very informative and the way he explaining the things, can't wait to watch another episode😍..BB please don't stop to continue this series..
First time on BB amd this combo of Tanmay amd Dr sid are very interesting . The way tanmay carries the question and follows the answer makes easy to understand and reassures the concept deeply . Waiting formore such episode Thanks both of you
Screw huberman... I want Tanmay to bring these episodes regularly... great information with is as usual humour... really really loved it & learnt a lot too... thanks man ❤
I have a question. If chewing and oral stimulation through eating is the main way to trigger our parasympathetic nervous system, why can't we like and eat healthy food when we are stressed?
Great video, perfectly explained! Another important aspect to take in account as to why we get sleepy after we have a heavy meal, is because much of the available energy in our body concentrates in our digestive system to carry out digestion of said heavy meal, as well as the suppression of the stress caused by hunger (stress and hunger don't allow the neuron circuit in the brain in charge of sleep to be activated). Loved the transparency and simplicity witch which concepts were explained, will be on the lookout for more content!
I would like to use Neil deGrasse Tyson and Sid in the same sentence and appreciate how well they both are in describing really complex things in simple, palpable words. Thanks Sid! ❤ You're a true genius 🙌🏼
I am that person who was reintroduced to Cerelac in my college days again. That habit kind of continues till today, during periods of high stress or just when I need emotional calming.
Hey Tanmay, this was a lovely video. Very precise & well explained. I have been watching a lot of videos and listening to a lot of Dr. Sid's podcasts. They're very comprehensive and informative. I have a humble request, if you could cover something on Auto Immune Diseases. Well, there's not too much information out there regarding auto immune condition. I was diagnosed with Lupus (SLE) back in 2019. And it's not like any other regular conditions. It's difficult to understand but I've gotten better with it. It would be of great help if you could get some information on such a condition that's very rare. A humble request to you and your team. Keep up the good work. :)
Loved this episode! So much information packaged in a very simple way. Really made for a great watch, and I learnt a lot too. Waiting for the next one.
"The more you articulate your feelings, you are forcing your Prefrontal cortex to recognise what your limbic is going through, and hence calming you down. "
I can not believe... this is so knowledgeable and entertaining....loved knowing about the blood reports parameters....it was full of information ❤️Sid and tanmay
What a bluedy fab job these guys are doing!!! Sharing knowledge is key to gaining viewership beyond generating laffs, aafcose!!! Well done boys. Keep it cummins😅
So coffee takes you to sympathetic response and food takes you towards parasympathetic response but both help you to focus??? Isn't sympathetic a state of agitation
It is too simple yet specific: 1. It has to be base flavour (which used to come in blue tin can) no added flavours. 2. I can't add anything to it other than water, texture can be semi solid or liquid but no added sugar or dry fruits. It hits different when your mouth remembers and traces the taste back from 25 years ago.
Wow..that's an amazing eye opener talk..simply super 👌..thanks so much for making dieting so much easier and fun ❤
I have seen sid for the first time and I can 100% confirm that he such a great explainer omg!! Like he can be the best bio teacher in colleges😅❤❤
Glad we had him as a bio teacher on BB.

I have a question. If chewing and oral stimulation through eating is the main way to trigger our parasympathetic nervous system, why can't we like and eat healthy food when we are stressed?
Probably because when we're stressed limbic takes over, just a guess btw
