The point of the interface pads are for rounded areas. If you are sanding sharp edges, we recommend FLAT 5mm foam abrasives so the abrasive will not round over and burn through.

Why wouldn’t you include them in the sanding system kit?
We include our most popular interface pad, however, this would add almost $70 to the kit and a lot of people would never use them.
