And all it took was being different and pitching a jig on docks. So many small bags on that first day but you sir figured out the ones that really mattered.

Coanglers that try to blame their bad days on the boater or try to give their two cents or opinions on what to do throughout the whole day just about ruins the tournament fishing experience for me and I've been doing this since 2004. I'd rather not have coanglers in any event after the frustrations I've dealt with. When I was a coangler I did well and I also blanked tournaments but never tried to tell the boater is was their fault lol People these days are ridiculous lol Awesome video!

Thanks man. I avoid boats as much as possible but I can fish in the mix when I really have to

Matt what line do you prefer for throwing chatterbaits on Okeechobee? Fluorocarbon or braid?
I throw 20 lb Sunline Sniper fluorocarbon 90% of the time. If there’s THICK pads and eel grass or I’m throwing up in to small pockets within super thick grass I’ll go 50 lb braid. I’ll toss up there and literally only get 5-10 cranks out of it before I have to pull it out and crank it back over the grass. But if they’re in there and the time is right you’ll get crushed.
@@mattwfishing thank you for the info. I've only caught a few fish on the chatterbait but they have all been quality. I'm not a big chatterbait guy but I'm going to start using it more and will try the fluorocarbon.
