  • Made this video 8 years ago and had it on Vimeo but they yanked it when I recently stopped paying for their Pro service (since I wasn't using it).
    So now it's here.
I replaced a lot of X60/X61 convertible tablet screens back then so I thought I'd share my experience doing so. I had more details in the description of the old video but that's gone now and I can't remember it, sorry.

I have an X61 Tablet that recognizes the pen presence and responds with mouse pointer movement but does not respond to clicks and cannot actually draw in any app. Do you think the problem is more likely with the pen or the screen? I could just replace the pen and see what happens, but if it's most likely the screen I'd rather not buy a new pen too.

I have no idea, but I know it's way easier to get a different pen to try. Anything wacom-compatible will work for testing purposes. Good luck!

I've never worked on one of the non-tablet models so I can't really be sure.
