What really bothers me is that people talk about how xavi & iniesta were the master minds of the tiki-taka and completely forgot about silva....i mean his style of play matches perfectly with the tiki-taka system...this guy is so underrated !

I don't understand how ppl can say Spain futbol is boring. It's a pleasure to watch actual futbol and a team that can make more than 5 coordinated passes.
One can obviously see that a lot of things are not going well here, tactically speaking. 1) Busquets + Xabi Alonso is ridiculous, they play the same position and that's not suiting this team. One holding midfielder is enough when more than half of the team is midfield-oriented and quite defensive / good at pressing (Xavi, Iniesta, Silva). 2) Where are the fucking wingers?! So much space not exploited that could have been used to stretch the game and find new space. David Villa was on the left wing, although I would have asked him to be even wider... but I haven't seen any fucking body on the right wing except when the right back occasionally went up. Pedro VERY MUCH NEEDED. 3) Don't fucking change the players in the middle of the game for players that play in a similar way, change the tactics, the strategy, the formation! 4) Having a false nine is arguable, Silva is such a quality player that I would keep him in the squad, but occasionally switch him for a real striker who's gonna run behind the defense and take better shots / be more agressive near the post... maybe after scoring goals for killing teams.
Such a traditional and narrow minded way to see football. The game isn´t so rigid, Spain sometimes played with 6 midfielders at the same time and destroyed their opponents...

As a matter of fact, my comment was inspired, almost a rehash of what Xavi, who was captain of Spain, himself had told. I agreed with him and I still am. 8 years later, Xavi is the manager of FC Barcelona, and is doing fairly well in comparison with those who have immediately preceded him. So yeah, still alive and kicking, and I was right.
