@@arosswelding I e been here a long time, I truly enjoy the things your share, the ideas you have and the challenges you succeed and fail thru as well. It’s fun to watch a good clean channel with my children as well. Be blessed, and congrats again!
good info. one thing you forgot to mention and im sure many know, once youre ready to cut move back and forward and slowly open the oxygen as you move forward so it wont bust threw and pop slag up. i was told about that. and another good thing luckily nothing caught on fire once cutting upside down lol safety first. wheres karen lol thanks for the great info. im 100 percent to leveled that pipe on the jack stands
Thanks for sharing with us Austin, I just learned something new, thanks! Stay safe up there and keep up the good work and videos. Fred. 🙏🏻🙏🏻👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👋👋🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thanks Austin, it's always great to learn about what is available out there. As a side note, some insulation inside your roof will make a big heat/cold difference. Working in an oven isn't fun ! 😒
Your channel is awesome! The video quality and editing is great along with the fantastic and entertaining welding information. I'm surprised your channel doesn't have more subscribers. Keep up the great work! You should do a collab with weld tube!
Did you know that Ridgid tools makes a mechanical beveling machine? Works great on pipe as well as plate. I've never personally used one but have seen it used. It's fast to set up, easy to use and gives a real smooth finish so you don't have to do any finish grinding.
Hey Austin I got a real big following on tic toc and we had danny kinderling from wester welding on live the other night and would love to get you on a live also.
I'm sure you have noticed that sometimes when you first start cutting slag will be left on the inside of the pipe and when you finish the cut it will cause a blowout on the inside of the pipe. to prevent this, when you start your cut move the torch the opposite direction for a short bit ,then quickly reverse and run back thru, clearing the under side of any slag.
I have the same beveler as you, so when you set it at 60 on the bridge. Is that an included angle? So 30° for each pipe? Or is your cut coming out at 60° bevel?
I’m just about to go to welding school 3 years out of high school and I don’t know what kind of welding I want to do pipelines, plants, etc but I definitely would love to have my own rig. Out of all the welding you’ve done what kind did you enjoy most? Btw I’m in Southeast Tx.
I am not sure… I am pretty sure I have seen a magnet situation that helps you lay out a certain saddle on a certain size of pipe but I do not know about a beveling machine that does such.
Off topic question. Do you by chance know why, when welders build tub rigs, some put the welder directly behind the back window sitting sideways in the truck bed, and some put it in the center facing out the back. Is it for easy access to the controls on the welder, or weight distribution over the axles, or some other reason I'm unaware of?
From what I know it is just personal preference. Or personal situation. Some people want the back of their bed more clear for space to hall things. And some like it in there long ways that way it is easier to work on.
I learn more from you than then welding school im in.
First like 🔥 great video buddy. Just finished the 3rd week at the local votech. Learn a lot from your videos
Also I appreciate the great customer service about my welding shirt thank y’all a lot!
Awesome information! I been wanting a beveling machine for quite sometime now. It's very elusive peice of welding equipment.
127k, dang man been killing it lately!!! Good job!
Thank you for your support!!

I learned how to use one of those a few years back when I was practicing some tig on pipe they make it a lot easier than using you a grinder
Love the jack stand with the chain. In all my years I've never seen that

Good video and good information. Those are some pretty handy tools.keep up the good work.
Work hard and be safe.
Learn sumpin new every Friday!
Hey "A" man, those are the best to square up the end of pipe, but preparing the metal is paramount. Love the information. Hood down lights on.
Bought short and long barrel torch on Ebay. Probably 15 -20 years ago for 80 or 100 bucks. Both were in perfect condition.
Can you make a video on adjusting loose chains, removing them, retiming etc. ?

They are nice to use, but they are way more expensive than the torch bevel machines.
Interesting video! Oh there's the cool bobcat!
Hey Austin I was watching when you built your shop and was wonder what model the other machine was that you guys were using
Right on

Great video Austin 👍. Drink plenty of water out in that heat, c'mon 👌.
Hello… C’mon 👌😂😎
Hey Austin! What quick connects do you have on your torches?
The factory bevel is 37.5 degrees on pipe.
I have the same beveler as you, so when you set it at 60 on the bridge. Is that an included angle? So 30° for each pipe? Or is your cut coming out at 60° bevel?

Is there a coping beveling machine?

Good video, Do you rent/lease your gas bottles or own them
I actually do both. I lease a set and own a set
Or just get a pipe fitter and a grinder
I see u not pipelining right now
No sir. I have just been home doing my own thing.
Oh ok I see
