Ciao Jo, ho fatto un buon esercizio e più o meno non ho fatto errori. Il fatto che tu parli così bene l'italiano aiuta molto noi italiani nell'apprendimento della tua meravigliosa lingua, perché tu riesci a capire il nostro modo di ragionare e tradurre "da italiani" le frasi inglesi. Grazie per tutto quello che fai per noi!

Tuttavia è sbagliato tradurre.
Per parlar bene le lingue occorre immedesimarsi, pensando nel modo in cui agiscono i madrelingua.
E pure diversificando, in base alla provenienza geografica...
Se pensi di imitare un Siciliano, lo fai pensandoti su una guglia del Duomo di Milano, oppure sorseggiando una granita alla mandorla in riva al mare?

John ho pensato che livello bisogna avere in base al livello di crescita:
A1 3-5 anni (key start)
A2 6-9 anni (elementary school)
B1 10-14 (middle school)
B2 15-19 (high school)
C1 20+ (university)

Not so bad! Even though I speak an "invented" English, I think almost have a B2 level. The best result was on "phrases transformation". In the translation exercise I wasn't particularly precise as a native speakers do but however, I think I found the words able to be understood by them.
The "correction exercises"... almost.

Ormai ti seguo da tutti i miei account Google, ma da questo mi mancava! Giusto in tempo per un bell'esamino 😅, però alla fine...yeah, I've did it pretty well! I did it in my own way (as an example, I've translated one sentence into "they didn't allow me to come in"), but at the end the meaning was practically the same. I've improved quite a lot in the last few years since I've started reading books in english and also watching movies in their original language (which of course is english), but honestly your lessons are even better! 😉

Ciao Jo. Una curiosità. Perché nella prima frase del terzo esercizio hai messo il verbo al presente (isn't) se nella frase originale è al passato? (couldn't).
E ancora... nella seconda non avrei potuto fare una costruzione con il presente perfetto progressivo? (has been increasing a lot)

La traduzione è andata bene 3 su 3 il trova errore 1 su 3 (la prima) le altre 2 ho indovinato metà frase solo. L'ultimo esercizio non l'avevo mai fatto quindi non l'avevo capito ma ho provato comunque a fare qualcosa io volevo mettere "i was stopper by rain" ma poi ho visto che non collegato bene, grazie per la lezione mi piacciono questi video mi stimolano molto

Ciao Joe, non ho avuto grosse divergenze con la seconda e terza frase nella traduzione, ma riguardo alla prima ho tradotto in maniera completamente diversa, ovvero così: we're departing soon tomorrow morning, have you prepared your suitcase?

Devo poi chiederti un chiarimento riguardo la prima frase dell'esercizio 3 (min 15 circa): io ho tradotto come "wasn't big enough", e non "isn't big enough". cosa mi sfugge? grazie. Ma nell'esercizio Sentence Transformation 1, si poteva mettere anche "wasn't big enough" oppure bisogna lasciarlo al presente?
Io, come te, avrei messo il verbo al passato visto che nella frase di partenza c'era "couldn't". In un contesto esame/test meglio mettere "wasn't" per andare sul sicuro. Ovviamente, nell'uso reale della lingua la scelta dipenderà dal contesto -- magari uso sempre la stessa valigia che ho da anni e non ho mai cambiato quindi va benissimo usare il presente.

Tutto molto chiaro ma.... I have been studying for 2 weeks because I have an exam 'NEXT WEEK' è futuro. SI può dire: I'm having an exam next week', come se fosse ' I'm playing football next week. Oppure 'I'm going to have an exam next week' ?
Nelle prime due frasi da tradurre, non si poteva usare il present perfect invece del past simple? "Have you packed your luggage"? "They haven't let me in" "They've said that I'was too young" ... in nessuna di queste frasi si specifica quando... o mi sono perso qualcosa?

Ciao Joe ho voluto mettermi Alla Prova riconoscendo di avere un livello d'inglese fra l'A2/B1 ma Devo ammettere che I primo due esercizi CI Sono andato vicino l'ultimo esercizio l'ho completamente sbagliato ma Sono abbastanza soddisfatto del risultato 😊
Ho studiato inglese a scuola qualche anno fa, beh posso dire di aver sbagliato di tutto e di più sulla coniugazione dei verbi e penso che sia normale dopo un po’ di anni e senza averli neanche approfondito più di tanto a scuola, ma sul resto ho azzeccato quasi tutto, anche il fatto che “until last saturday” andava messo alla fine o altre cose anche molto basiche, ma sono soddisfatto di aver capito tutte le frasi in inglese e di saperle formare, considerando che non è abbia avuto tutti sti grandi insegnamenti e tutta questa voglia di studiare nella vita 😂

Ho sbagliato alcune parole di lessico nella prima parte di translation, la seconda parte ho azzeccato tutti gli errori e nella terza parte mi sono dimenticato l'aggettivo per dire a large increase. Nell'ultima frase potrei anche dire: "the rain stopped me going to work "?

Ho appena fatto un test con Joe English per il controllare il livello di conoscenza dell'inglese , sono passata a Mrs Gill per ascolto , e mi ritrovo i miei commenti fatti su Joe English . Nel frattempo volevo suggerire a Mrs Gìll , la traduzione in italiano di " HIS BARK IS WORSE THAN HIS BITE" , in my opinion it could be " CAN CHE ABBAIA NON MORDE " 😊
