1st shot is Pickerington, Ohio on the Conrail, Norfolk Southern and now Kanawha River Railroad West Virginia Secondary. The crossing now has gated signals
Buckeye yard here is completely gone now. I lived in Springfield during the Conrail years and there was a lot of traffic along the Dayton District. It went down significantly after Buckeye was mothballed.

This era for me is a favorite rail fanning/modeling period. No Graffiti or Tags...older locomotive pre merger paint schemes weathered and rusted up.
At 3:18, wonder where that Conrail train was headed if it was turning onto CSX
Probably YSCO-18 headed for Parsons.
@@RailroadMediaArchive Yea possibly. It would be weird for it to have big six-axle locos. LOL
camerawork making me seasick !!
Thanks for posting all these old videos. Does anyone know what that sign means at 34:18?
waffuhz that’s just saying don’t go past or you will foul the switch
Quite a bit at Canton as well...
The traction motor on the C36-7 lock up?
Yes.
I miss the can opener on locomotives
39:24-where was that filmed at?
I think it's Penry Rd. north of Delaware, Ohio.
Can I use a small portion of this video for a rare horn compilation? I will give you credit.
Go ahead.
Awesome thanks!
AWESOME IDEA,......THATS WHAT I TOLD MY DAUGHTER LESLIE, AND MY SON NATHAN THAT I WANTED TO DO !!!
0:09 looks like a hydrogen cyanide candy stripe tank car. Now that's a hazmat!
I need BN action. Nothing else matters.
