They are really cool and growing quickly now.. what we learned - tropical temp, lots of light, if you grow in freshwater you don't need to spritz much - if you grow in salt water keep them rinsed once they sprout - and they are in fact very hardy..
Good point on keeping the pods warm to encourage them to sprout. I got a bucket of 'em sitting on the deck and not all have sprouted, this may be why... 😬
It was certainly a "duh" moment for us.. We had everything setup and the pods looked good - but the weeks were going by and nothing was happening.. put the heater in and then almost immediately growth got under way..
